So I have several 1-gallon zip lock bags for my plastics in a compartment in my boat.   I have some of my plastics in sleeves, inside zip pouches that hold several sleeves.  Are there any other storage/organizing systems for a boat compartment that makes a bag storage easy to organize for  quick-grab plastics?

Not sure is you require it to be a bag or not. I use these in my boat. On sale ad midway right now.

Like my good buddy, Gim - I box mine...but in Plano 3707-10 open compartment boxes. Each box is a different type bait...craws/lizards, stickworms, grubs, etc. The open box is my Zoom Trick Worms and Zoom Speed Worms...rebagged in laminated bait-bags from HERE to fit better.

The 1-compartment 3700's a great for that.  I use a 3704 and leave it at 2 compartments for my ned box and keep the heads/hooks in the small side.  Its a good setup for that.

 

For my other plastics still in bags I use speedbags.  They claim to hold 20 standard bags, but I've put 30 in depending on the plastic, if there is a hard plastic liner, etc.  I've got one for creatures and one for worms.  My dropshot ziplock goes in with the worms to keep it semi organized.

I got a plastic tote from walmart and just cut cardboard for dividers. I organized by size for my worms. I have a few smaller ones for; creature baits, trailers, fluke/paddle tails, misc.

 

only my hard baits and hooks are in plano style cases.

Since space is limited in my kayak, I use a few of these speed bags as well. However, I’ve found that I throw that in my kayak without even realizing it. That said, I rarely go to that bag because I recently got a couple of the track pack boxes and keep one loaded with go to trailers and the other with other go to soft plastics.

I'm in the same boat (almost literally) in that I'm in a kayak also.  Last year I carried two speed bags year round with everything in them, and then my tackle bag had two side pouches full of soft plastics bags.  This season, I took my basics that I use all the time and put a couple of each color in a 3700 box (my tackle bag is set up around those).  I put the summer only (big worms), odd colors that I use occasionally, and things I don't need to carry every time into the speed bags.  Now that its summer I throw the speedbags in the boat and leave them there.  Early season I didn't bother with them.  Come september I'll take them out.

I just bought a Billfold mesh bag for my plastics and it holds more pouches than I thought. 

At$39.99 I believe it's a great product. I have three speed bags, and I also have several insulated lunch boxes that can hold quite a few pouches. I think that probably everyone probably have several of these just sitting around and not being used 😅.

Flambeau boxes work for my buddy's boat.

Double-deep open 3700s. Many plastics will stand perfectly in the box if you fold the extra plastic over.

I just switched all of my soft plastics into these yesterday. It really is a convenient box for them. This is coming from someone who is a certified bait monkey for soft plastics.

I started using these for plastics in 2016 because it fit into my main tackle compartment better in the boat. I like how you can keep all the plastics in the original packaging.

When I was a kid I would sit and stare at the Bass Pro catalog for days on end. I wanted all the soft plastics in all the different colors. That was 40 years ago. I might have actually accomplished that goal now.
