bassman00012 Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 I'd have to go with the rat'l traps too :'( Quote
bugman Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 Frogs baits have me stumped. I know they are great baits and many good fishermen do well with them but I have never landed a bass with one. I'm not giving up on them but my confidence in those baits are at a all time low. Quote
ssaB_htuoM_egraL Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 I want to love the Blade Dancer but it doesn't catch fish. Quote
Bassboy15 Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 Also, we don't tell people that they are full of "chit" on this forum. I totally agree. Anyone who says that is fulla chit and is a complete azzzhole Avid!!! You're going to get my laptop taken away...the little bit of free time I do get I cant bust up laughing!!everyone looks at me wierd!! Quote

Bean Counter Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 Spro Bronzeye Frog! I gave them a good look and never got a bite. I went back to Horny toads. Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted August 21, 2007 Super User Posted August 21, 2007 I can't catch a thing with a Beetle Spin and I have about a dozen of them. Quote
Avalonjohn44 Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 Helicopter lures are junk, Gulp is garbage, And, Chatterbaits suck. Quote
Super User David P Posted August 21, 2007 Super User Posted August 21, 2007 Spro Bronzeye Frog! I gave them a good look and never got a bite. I went back to Horny toads. Maybe you're not fishing them right? They're much different then a Horny Toad. Many people have GREAT success with them. My worst bait would have to be... anything on television, EXCLUDING the banjo minnow. Quote
Daniel My Brother Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 Jitterbugs. I have a bunch of them and never catch a d**n thing with them. I agree. In fact you should go ahead and send me your Jitterbugs so that I can dispose of them properly. Quote

In fact you should go ahead and send me your Jitterbugs so that I can dispose of them properly. That was my story until this year! I fished them in low light situations, and put split rings on the hook holders. i varied my retrive and i caught a lot of topwater bass with them! Quote
robbor Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 I bought some Bass Pro SHops brand lures way back, spinnerbaits and buzz. The spinnerbaits were absolute garbage. The felt like Sh!T and fished poor. The buzz was way over weighted for prop size and I missed so many fish. The hooks were really bad to put it nicely, and buzz head ended up breaking on be after a few trips. I also bought 2 PBS brand rods. Both were heavy and clunky. Never buy BPS brand gear unless you are not picky at all. Quote
Super User Jeff H Posted August 22, 2007 Super User Posted August 22, 2007 I can't "dis" the Dancin' Eel enough!! Most unproductive lure I've ever owned. Quote
fishing man Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 my worst bait i have used is a chatterbait. i dont know if i am using it wrong, wrong time, or wrong area, but all i know is i cant catch a cold on these. Quote
Ghetto_Basser Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 I would say the Dancing Eel for sure. I remember when that came out in the 80's and I begged my dad for one. I fished that as my only bait several times and didn't catch a thing. I also didn't relize we weren't at Beanville Plantation either. Quote
FivePoundBluegill Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 Arnt we forgetting about this lure? Quote
Ghetto_Basser Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 Arnt we forgetting about this lure? Thats what happens when you leave the flying lure in your car too long. ;D Quote
Bassboy15 Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Probably chatterbait, I have caught my PB on it, but that's the only fish I have caught on it in like.....6 months > Quote
BassPonder72 Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 I can't catch a thing with a Beetle Spin and I have about a dozen of them. Send them to me. I seem to always land the big fish of the day on a beetle spin when I go fishing with my buddy. My biggest on a beetlespin so far was 6 1/4 a couple weeks ago. My fishing buddy has a 12lber mouted that he caught on a...you guessed it, beetlespin. to the topic- my worst lures are storm swimbaits. maybe that'll change if they ever start producing. i haven't really given them a fair shake though. Styx Posted August 25, 2007 Posted August 25, 2007 Here's my nominee I've had it so long I can't ever remember what it's called. Not a hit or strike in all the long years I've had it.....maybe one day. Quote
TrickyVT1887 Posted August 26, 2007 Author Posted August 26, 2007 Styx my buddy john has one of those but his is black we were fishing once at a local reservoir, and i started laughing when it started shaking on top of the water he popped it a couple more times and had it start flapping on top of the water again then a landed a nice 3lb bass after it blew up on it.
