I can't put a number on it.  I'm not lost, I'm just hard to find.

Tech wise I have 3 Lowrance Lives.  Two 9's and a 7.   I've got 2 transducers.  Active Target on my trolling motor, and a 3 in 1 on my transom.  When I make myself use the stuff the way it's supposed to be used I catch more fish, and make less casts.

I don't have any of the fancy "FFS" lures.  I can see old lures just fine on the screen if I want to watch it.

I have a GPS trolling motor.  I use Spot Lock all the time.  Even though the trolling motor is networked with my screens I don't use auto pilot, or any of the trails stuff.

My boat is 16'8" and aluminum with a 50 horse power engine.  That's quite a bit different than a 250 horsepower air craft carrier modern Bass boat.

Also, I use 5 rod/reel combos.  Not the normal modern 30 or 40.

I dunno - 5-6

Decked boat, couple of sonar units - but no FFS and no Spot-Lock on the TM

Similar deal here, with no intention of changing. What I do works for me. I know I could catch more fish with FFS, but after mulling it over for awhile, I decided that's just not how I want to fish.

My lack of FFS and Spot Lock is due to finances....not a lack of wanting.

maybe a 3.5?  I have 8 or 9 rods and a whole bunch of lures (even though I only use two of them).  I also have a 5 man raft with a trolling motor and a foldable kayak.  You think I'd have better luck but I can't get out of dinksville :)

1 to 5+ depending on the day. Some days it's bank or wading a creek, fishing with a single rod and a handful of lures. Most of the time I'm on my 14' camo metal sled with a 25 Mercury, Solix 15, 360 Imaging, 80lb Terrova, 10 - 15 rods, and a silly amount of tackle under the deck.

I think it's cool that you fish two ways. I ALWAYS cast from the bank before I launch because that's how I learned to fish. And when I catch a bass from the bank, I am happy because it's easier than landing a bass in a moving canoe.

(2) 7" Garmins that I look at water temps and depth, rest of the time I'm casting to something that looks like it would hold a fish....... maybe a ATS of 3.

I don’t know what drove me as a younger man but had to know why, it’s who I am.

Tools to help answer questions were very limited when I started bass fishing and knowledge of habitats and bass behavior was nearly non existent.

The Fish Lo K Tor flasher was the 1st techy  tool I bought into. The 2nd was my Dark Ind analog instant read thermometer w/50 probe wire. I used the flasher to help understand top maps and habitats. The thermometer allowed me to develop an understanding bass body temperature was the same as the water at the depth the bas acclimated in. This allowed me to understand bass location by seasonal periods a big step towards solving the why of bass behavior.

The paper graph recorded what the flasher displayed allowing a deep study of the days outing and how bass related to structure elements.  Sonar became an essential tool in my early years of fishing both fresh and salt water.

I would say a 10 ATS scale, when was active fishing.

Solix 15,  two Solix 10s,  MEGA 360,  MEGA Live on a Target Lock mount,  Ultrex I-Pilot Link.   I would say I’m a 8 on the ATS.

4.5.  Have a 16' tin bass boat with a 7" on the bow and a 9" on the console with side finder.  Usually carry 6-8 rods with a foot controlled trolling motor.  On the kayak I carry one rod and a pack of worms with a few hooks and sinkers.

I've been fishing out of a little one man boat, leaving the monstrous 22 foot Lowe deck boat in the garage. Its equipped with a trolling motor and depth finder. So I guess thats a  "3.78".  But , it is  so quiet that I can sneak up on carp and whack em in the head.

Consider your self a metric gallon.......3.78 liters !!  LOL...

Based on the responses already given, I would rank my setup at a 7.

Maybe a 2? Most of the time if I'm fishing out of a 14' jon boat, I won't have any electronics with me if I know the lake.  If I don't know the water then I'll be using my 2D sonar.

Was gonna put myself at '0' but then I remembered my endura max 55 has some sort of digital thingy that saves power so I guess I'm a '1'. As for why I just don't care to have or see the need for tech where I fish.

Il say I'm a 5. Standard portable depth finder in my canoe, small box with lures I've proven that work for me. And I have fun. That's important.

I guess I am about a 4. I fish out of a 26 year old bass Tracker with a 40 HP motor. My 2 electronics both have 5" screens and are over 10 years old. I just use them for depth and temp. I don't have spot lock or power poles. I usually have 4 baitcasters and 2 spinning rods with me. I don't try all the latest and greatest things to come out. I stay with what has worked for me and hope it keeps on working.

I will fish wherever, whenever, with whatever!

I wade fish Toro Creek below Toledo Bend with 1 rod-n-reel, a sack of Ultravibe Speed Worms, a few hooks & weights thrown in there.

I fish Toledo Bend in a Bass Cat Caracal with FFS.

I don't care, I'm fishing!

mmmmmm, probably around a 3. I either wade fish the river/streams with two rods and a sling tackle bag or lake fish in my canoe, one paddle and no electronics with five rods rigged for action and a small Plano bag.

The way you catch bass, keag, you don't need tech.
