JJP Posted May 24, 2024 Posted May 24, 2024 I purchased the new Sedona fj for a spinning rod that didn’t have a reel on it. I haven’t heard much about it but for $80 I’m pretty impressed. I’ve always been a fan of the $75-$100 Shimano spinning reels. This new sedona, which I believe came out last year or early this year seems like a great reel for someone looking in that $75-$100 price range. Line lay was good right out of the box, smooth drag and an overall solid feel. It’s not a Stradic but for $80 you cannot go wrong. Quote
Super User casts_by_fly Posted May 24, 2024 Super User Posted May 24, 2024 I have the Sedona FA which is from about 1999 or so. Still super smooth for a cheap reel. Quote
nso123 Posted May 25, 2024 Posted May 25, 2024 I have a couple of these that are older models. They have served me well and are still very smooth for what they cost me. Quote
Super User Mobasser Posted May 25, 2024 Super User Posted May 25, 2024 Good reel for the money. I have one that's ten years old, and still works well Quote
Susky River Rat Posted May 29, 2024 Posted May 29, 2024 Great reel. I wouldn’t not hesitate to get another one ever! Quote
