I just purchased app. 60 comics in pristine condition , for 100 dollars. They are all in a plastic sleeve's with cardboard backing. Whoever bought them was collecting them. These are not Silver Surfers , Hulks... mostly stuff I never heard of, from 1990's forward. Theres a couple that look like they have some value. Turok the Dinosaur Hunter Gold Edition and Eternus. Lots of #1 issues. Titles like Shadow Hawks, Dr. Giggles, Ninjettes, Prime, Solar...   Just lots of misc. books dont know if they have value or not.

Couple of bucks per comic. If you have kids they would be a great start to collecting

I got into them for a few years in the 80's. I still have all of them in the sleeves, etc. At that time, there was some sort of price guide (like Beckett's was for baseball cards). Your best bet now is to look them up on Ebay and see what they're listed for (and sold for). Also, look for comic book stores in your town- I live out in the sticks and there's at least two of them within 25 minutes of driving, so some folks are still buying them along with D&D things, Pokemon and whatever else is the new game. My college kid is kind of a dork and likes all that stuff so I've picked up pieces of information along the way. 😊

Kinda hard to say. I do like Turok the video game from the N64. One of my favorite one person shooter games ever. So ahead for it’s time.

The potential of the value of comics was hyped in the 90s and many were encouraged to invest in them but it all kind of fell through. Not sure why exactly.

i collected comics and have the newer X-men #1 from the 1990s, Wolverine #1-80 give or take, and even the original Infinity Gauntlet story. On one of the covers, Thanos says, “Come get me…”

I thought comic prices were getting out of hand when they started pushing nearly $2 an issue. These days they’re easily $5 an issue. No thanks.

@scaleface it probably wouldn’t hurt if you made a catalog/inventory. There could be that one comic that made it worth your while in that collection. Good luck!

I plan on doing that some day. These are all mint  condition . A lot of Image comics including the very first Image comic . Youngblood issue 1. A few Marvel and a few Batmans.

I did the same thing years ago - then in 2015, sold my entire collection, including

Mike Grell's Warlord - complete series - M or NM condition

X-Men - GS1 & #94 through X-Men-vs-Avengers - M or NM condition

also had New X-Men and X-Force from start through that time.

I'd always do one read - then bag and back every comic.

I’m a major Halo fan. Been wanting to start my collection on that. All I have is the first three books and the 25th book. I’d like to get some Pops and models. I’m actually proud of myself, though. I got my dad into the TV show, even though it’s nothing like the books or the games.

@islandbass Turok, Son of Stone was one of my favorite comic books as a kid. But that was WAY before the video game lol.

I still have some original Star Trek comic books from the late 60s and some Classics Illustrated from the 40s that belonged to my mom.

@BrianMDTX  I heard of the Turok comics but never seen them in person or read them but I can bet I would have enjoyed reading them. I still have my N64 and 3 or the 4 Turok cartridges, lol and everything still works. The music soundtrack from Turok 2 is freaking awesome. People have even made Metal versions.

Metal version of Port of Adia

Original Game version for reference

Darren Mitchell is the composer and a local youth orchestra did a medley of the Turok 2 soundtrack.

Bringing back memories playing the game, lol. The soundtrack pumped you up, lol.

I have no clue what the game was like or about lol. In the comic, Turok was a warrior who, while hunting with a young brave (can’t recall his name, but Intjink it was Andar?), went through some cave or pass through a mountain and ended up in a prehistoric world populated by dinosaurs (“honkers”) and cavemen. Using poisoned arrows, they could kill the dinosaurs if they needed to. They always looked for a way to return home.

I have no clue if they ever did. 🤣
