BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted May 17, 2024 BassResource.com Administrator Posted May 17, 2024 Don’t stick to soft-plastic lures in spring. Hard baits also play an important role, creating efficiency that often leads to more and bigger bass. https://www.bassresource.com/fishing/spring-hard-baits.html 1 2 Quote
Super User GreenPig Posted May 17, 2024 Super User Posted May 17, 2024 Thanks. But it felt like Summer last night on the lake at 10pm as I was sweating. 1 Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted May 17, 2024 Author BassResource.com Administrator Posted May 17, 2024 It's still spring. In fact, I was just in SC this week (lake Hartwell) catching bass off beds. Air temps didn't get much over 72 this whole week. So if the bass are definitely in spawn/post-spawn mode in SC/Georgia, then they're still in prespawn/spawn in northern climates. Quote
Super User Swamp Girl Posted May 18, 2024 Super User Posted May 18, 2024 We're pre-spawn still in Maine. Great article, Glenn. Quote
