Super User T-Billy Posted May 13, 2024 Super User Posted May 13, 2024 I have a Dobyns Sierra Panfish 7'4" UL. If a crappie farts within 6' of my bait I can feel it. 😁 2 1 Quote

What do you feel is the best rod available? I have several, but am looking for the best, nicest rod for them. Spinning or bait casting? Tom Quote

The i_fish guy was promoting some JDM prototype rod as the best panfish rod. I want to get a nicer panfish rod because I also catch big bass with panfish gear. But I keep catching big fish on my cheaper rods like my Handing Magic L and TFO signature series (TFO makes a good panfish rod). I picked up the Handing for $30 and the TFO used for $50. My coworker that I mention sent in a Daiwa Airity to i_fish that recently was in a few videos Quote
garroyo130 Posted May 13, 2024 Posted May 13, 2024 Go JDM and get a nice area trout rod. I fish a couple of Major Craft rods for weightless (no added weight) trout magnets and small spoons, and they perform really well. Just keep in mind you're probably going to want a decent reel and some premium line to go along with it. 1 Quote

nso123 Posted May 13, 2024 Author Posted May 13, 2024 Thanks everyone for the responses so far. I have been digging into all of them, and what a rabbit hole it is. Quote
