1.  Wind

2.  Shallow boat ramps

3.  Jet/water skiers

4.  Introduction of smallmouth to a traditionly largemouth fishery

5.   Wind

You read my mind.  Maybe because we're 30 mins from each other? :)

Except I would change #5 to rude/inconsiderate people (other bass anglers, recreational boaters, people at the launch, etc)

1. Wind.

2. Disrespectul fisherman. Ive been in spots minding my own business to have another boat literally come within 15ft of me. Speaking to themselves, not even trying to communicate, and fish right over the top of me.

#1 Disrespectful anglers/boaters. I dislike dealing with them so much that I rarely fish on the week-ends. I still have to deal with some, but it's a much smaller percentage.

#1 covers the majority of things, but one that really gets me wound up is anglers, fishing from boats, that cut 20yrds or more of line off when snagged. How difficult is it to motor over to the snag and either retrieve your bait, or cut the line off there?  I can't tell you how many times I've cut yards of line from my TM.

For those of you that put wake boats on your list (I am one of them), controversy is brewing in Wisconsin.  75% of all public there conducted in a large survey wants more restrictions on them.  If this can pass in a state like Wisconsin, it can pass in other states too, as Wisconsin has a lot of water and they want to protect their lakes.  You have to be pretty naeive to think these things aren't causing a significant amount of damage.

1. Getting up at 0’ dark 30 and stretching to get my old bones ready to fish.

2. Arriving at the lake in the dark and 100 other bass boats are already in line.

3. Waiting in line for the lake to open and the wind picks up closing the lake.

4. Going to my favorite spot at sunrise to fine a guide boat catching bass on live bait. Our lakes are public and small but it bothers me to see a good spot get creamed by a guide.

5. Getting old and Selling my boat and depending on others to go bass fishing.

Kayakers

people leaving trash

people who hang out at the boat ramp

people who keep fish out of the water to long just for pictures.

FFS

Two of those are heavy hitters and may have me shunned. Not saying it to spark a debate or to get reactions just answering the question honestly.

Ouch... 😕  Kayaks are a blast!  I love fishing out of mine, gently trolling along as a I paddle.

1) Heat & humidity on the James River here in Richmond, VA.

2) Worrying about getting swamped by a wakeboarding boat.

3) Getting skunked over and over on small ponds inside parks, fishing from land.

3a) I just go there to test my lures that I make from parts/pieces from Netcraft.

4) Having to travel an hour, hour & a half, away from Richmond, just to find a nice lake.

5) School age boys (7 yrs old, 8 yrs old) jumping off the public fishing pier, going swimming, even though there is a sign saying NO SWIMMING and that's it's a dedicated fishing pier.

5a) You get frustrated and decide not to reprimand the boys, after seeing the snobby looking Soccer mom watching the boys.  Instead of making a scene, you just pack up and go home.

Things I dislike…

1.  That our season up here is too short (if September and October could each be about 3 months longer, I’d be very happy).

2.  People… pretty much all of them.

3.  Any wind over about 10mph

4.  Rainy weekends

5.  The days when we catch zero bass.

The only thing I dislike about Bass fishing is when I injure them which is just part of the sport.    That part never gets easier, and I feel a great sense of unfairness when I hurt a fish at the expense of me having a good time.   I'm not there to harvest these fish, and to some degree it feels a bit like a cat playing with a mouse.

1. Bed fishing

2. FFS

3. Snags because I fish a lot of rock

4. Wake boats

5. Tournaments (or even more so non competitive anglers) that load up there 5 biggest bass during spawning to drive them around all day for a photo at the launch before releasing them in one spot miles from where they picked them up

1. I spend too much money on rods.

2. I spend too much money on reels.

3. I spend too much money on tackle.

4. Even with wheels dragging my kayak to the water sucks since most of the ramps around me are very big, steep, or far away from the parking lot.

5. Even if I wanted to drag my kayak down one of those big ramps, the water level in my local lake is so low right now I can't really get my kayak out there so I have to settle for a city park lake with muddy water and a handful of dinks that get 1000 lures thrown at them every hour.

* Bonus thing I hate:

Snakes. Don't see them too often but the moment I see one I'm pretty much gone regardless of how well things may have been going that day.
