What is your current favorite finesse braid line from say #8lb. to #15lb. in Hi-Viz Yellow , Nein Green , etc. Due to local availability I’ve used Power Pro 10lb. in Hi-Viz Yellow - but there may be newer , better offerings to consider with a similar braid line diameter ? What are you currently using as a favorite finesse braid line for Ned Rig , Finesse Swim Baits , Moping Finnese Straight Tail Minnows , Shaky Head   Drop Shot , etc.  ?

I still use 8lb Power Pro in moss green. I believe there is a hi-vis yellow available. The Power Pro has performed exceptionally for me over the years with no failures. Every time I "experiment" with a different line, I come back to original Power Pro. Maybe not the state of the art braid now, but it is very reliable.

Another Japanese X-braid fan here - go-to for me is most often Varivas (Shore) Casting.

From 832, YGK, Duel X-wire, (<all good) Yamatoyo (<not so good), Varivas Casting has the toughest coating in the long run.

Also no reason to limit breaking strength - PE#1 is 22-lb.

You ask our favorite...  4lb original Fireline; white color.  8lb hybrid monofilament leader.  A spinning rod that will protect a light line, mine... 8' 3" ml, fast.

Ive tried a few out there but always land back on suffix 832 in a few different sizes.

YGK X-braid, I like the #0.8, 1.0, and 1.2.  Sometimes Amazon has it for a good price.  I like the metered stuff so I know how much I'm putting on the spool.

8lb on spinning reels is great. I have excellent experiences with original PP, Sufix 832, and Daiwa j braid grand.

they all have slightly different characteristics, but all are great line.

Seaguar Smackdown Braided Line Stealth Gray ~

I have & prefer 8 lb but I don't think they make it any more.

Might need to go to 10 lb; probably not much of a difference.

My ned rig fishing, which I don't do a ton of,

mostly happened in open water.

Thanks for the replies - I must say the YGK sinking braid is interesting as most of my finesse spinning applications are below surface down to the bottom (Ned , drop shot , shaky head , Neko , etc.)

832 is my go to braid and I fish it in 10/30/50.  I have 10# yozuri on one reel and it’s okay. I think it’s a 4 carrier braid. I put 10# 131 suffix on my new spinning rod and I am liking it. It’s a little stiffer than 832 (and more expensive) and doesn’t feel like sewing thread when you’re using it. It lays a little better on a spinning spool than 832 because of the stiffness. I still need a lot more time with it but so far so good.

Daiwa j braid grand  8x is what I use on my spinning reel in 8lb test

Suffix 832 in 10lb and 15lb are my go-to on spinning setups.

My current Power Pro #10 lb. ~#15 lb.  is their basic 4 carrier braid which has served me well . However , with advances in line technology a multi-carrier braid may be better with the popular finesse soft plastic techniques I would use on a spinning set up for bass.
