Bigbox99 Posted May 4, 2024 Posted May 4, 2024 This T3 MX is from 2012 but still looks cutting edge and modern to me. The whole reel is made from the same unpainted zaion plastic as the Daiwa drag stars. What's your old reel that you think still looks modern? 3 Quote
redmeansdistortion Posted May 5, 2024 Posted May 5, 2024 Daiwa Millionaire. The CV-Z platform dates to 1998 with the most recent example being the CT SV released in 2019. 5 Quote

Super User webertime Posted May 5, 2024 Super User Posted May 5, 2024 Any Daiwa in the last 20 years. E series Shimano too Quote
Eric 26 Posted May 5, 2024 Posted May 5, 2024 Although I’m not sure how far back we’re going I have a few. I have a Daiwa Tatula Type R that I bought when a tackle shop website posted it for sale and told me they were cleaning out the warehouse and came across them still brand new and its brother the Cabelas Arachnid I bought at least 15 years ago and still love them both. Also although it’s not currently in my possession as it’s in Springfield being serviced I love my 2001 BPS pro qualifier spinning reel. When I spoke to the gentleman who worked on it I asked about a spare spool and he informed me he found one which is on its way to my local store as of Monday. As a side note I bought the reel second hand brand new from a guy who bought them on clearance and resold them for a minor profit and he included the free rod that was advertised which I also still own. 3 Quote

I don't think they will ever look dated or out of place. 1 Quote
