I love Bass Pro Shops. I live in Cincinnati so I am very close to one. I worked there for 3 years but got let go because they wouldn't let me off to fish a tournament. Needless to say I fished the tournament. I really hate to say it but I've had really bad luck with their reels. Spend the extra $20.00 and get a Shimano Curado. They are the smoothest casting baitcaster for the price. (In my humble opinion)

I just looked after posting this. Did Shimano do away with the green Curados? Nooooooooooooo! I just looked on Ebay! They did! That's not good at all. I loved these reels for the price.

Here's a link for one on Ebay..... http://cgi.ebay.com/Shimano-CURADO-200_W0QQitemZ150073940170QQihZ005QQcategoryZ108153QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

The old green mean fishing machine was discontinued last year after over a decade of duty, it has been replaced by the new Citica, a reel that offers more features than the old one for the same price.

Myself I would go with a Quantum Accurist, great reels and within your budget with money left over.

theres alot in the price range of 100-120 that will serve you just fine. Obviously most will recommend the Citica because it is a very reliable reel for the price. I myself would recommed the citica as well.

Hey, Just before Christmas I bought a BPS combo with a Citica and a BPS extreme Woo Daves crankbait rod for $139. I have two of the old Curados that I like very much, but the more I use the Citica the better I like it. The quality seems to be equal. Good luck making a choice.

In that price range, I too would go with Shimano Citica.
