papajoe222 Posted April 28, 2024 Posted April 28, 2024 Mine was with a BPS 6ft. Med (I forget the model) paired with a TD Advantage and good ole 12lb Original Stren. That was my topwater combo for years. It and a Spook put a lot of fish in my boat. 2 Quote
Super User ATA Posted April 28, 2024 Super User Posted April 28, 2024 Thats very funny question, I am sure most of us here got our PB on cheapest combo. I got mine on this Daiwa D-Wave with 8lb test cheap nylon and since I had no drop-shot weight I just comprmise and bite done split weight at the end of my line :), The only right thing there was my brand new red daiichii #4 hook, Everything else was shaky and I cought my two 8lb bass with that day. 3 Quote

GRiver Posted April 28, 2024 Posted April 28, 2024 A Mitchell Avocet, 6ft medium (Walmart special, $39.98) with a BPS 7 1/2 ribbon tail, watermelon/ pearl-garlic. Broke my PB twice that day. I had been at a 5lb for a long time, then I caught one over 6lb, 20 minutes later I got one just over 7lb. I didn’t need the boat to home, I felt like I could have walk on water all the way home, man was I pumped. 1 Quote

PBBrandon Posted April 28, 2024 Posted April 28, 2024 I caught my PB (8lbs) on a DC734 with a Zillion SV throwing a Booyah spinnerbait at Lake Ray Robert’s. Have caught quite a few 5-8lb fish in one particular pond with a 6’6” medium Ugly Stik with a 35 size Pflueger President throwing bluegill cutbait for catfish. Idk why but that particular pond doesn’t usually spit out numbers, but it spits out size. Quote
