How does everyone organize their jig heads and hooks? I've tried multiple ways from keeping them in original packaging to small separate bags for each size. But keeping them separated by size and even brand can be tough especially once the packaging is gone and on that note OG packaging takes up a lot of space.

Are we talking bigger heads here - like swim jigs, football jigs, etc - or smaller like Ned, Shakey, etc?

Bigger ones - 3701 box, each brand/type/weight in it's own compartment.

Finesse jigs - each brand/type/weight in one of these slide-top boxes...3 boxes can fit into a 3-wide compartment in a 3620

if the hooks are longer (5/0+ worm/ewg hooks) there's a longer box...3 into a 4-wide compartment

Here's what my finesse box looks like - with my 1/8oz Owner Blockheads open to show you that.

I tried several different things so far, from 3700 sized-3600 sized trays.

Even decided to buy one of those expensive $40 something Plano's for terminal tackle. Even that didnt work for me.

Putting them into containers is great for storage, but ive had so many hooks and jigs rust i stopped.

Even in the ones claming "anti rust" or "no rust" technology....

So i bought these "Flambeau Tuff Tainer Divided Tackle Box" size 3003. Really cheap and not very large. I can take all my tungsten weights, wacky rig hooks, swimbait weighted hooks/jigs for paddle tails, EWG hooks, shakey head jigs, ned rig jigs, bobber stops too. It all fits and takes very little room.

Bought some desiccant packs on Amazon for $10 and put 1 in each spot and so far no rust.

I use 1 for river/smallmouth lake terminal tackle, 2nd for largemouth/pike/pickerel waters, and the 3rd ones filled with panfish hooks and jigs. The hooks dont fall out (even the small size 6-8 panfish ones).

@MN Fisher how do you keep them from rusting?

I keep mine in separate 3600 and 3700 boxes.  Like these,  Pee Wee jigs and heads for Ned, Shaky, and swim baits.

The slide-tops are NOT air/water tight. Packets of silca gel in an empty compartment...not in there now as I replace them at the beginning of the season. 15 days till the bass are legal targets.

I use old prescription pill bottle containers from the pharm.  I use a sharpie to write on the container the size and style of hooks.

I use the Plano Terminal box strictly for hooks.  $13.50 @ Scheels.  It's on clearance...possibly discontinued.

Weights/jigheads go in a thin 3700/3600
