Silver Thread AN40

I would like to buy a couple of bulk spools of Silver Thread AN40 in different sizes. Where is the best place to order or buy this line and what would a good price be? Thanks.

i would either buy from cabelas or bass pro shops....

i recently bought a couple bulk spools of excaliber silverthread & cabelas were the only one who had it....

Wal-mart  had the smaller 300 yard spools, but I think you were wanting bulk so that might not help.

I would suggest you just do a search for it online.  Anything you need can be found online in a simple search.

You want the freshest line you can get.

I suggest Cabella's as they sell a lot of line and therefore they have a lot of line turnover and the line is fresh.

Some of the local retailers have the line on their shelves for months before it is sold and they will not reorder until the existing line supply sells. Consequently, the line can be "old" when you purchase it.

I use Silver Thread and it is an OK line.  I have four tests in bulk spools which makes respooling easy and simple.  I also use the Berkley lines, too, depending on the fishing situation.

I also keep all lines inside my home so there will not be any temperature variations during the year and I take extra reels already spooled and ready to go on the boat so I don't have to take the spools out of the house.

So far, the lines I have have done well with few problems.

Yes the local Wal-Mart carries Silver Thread An40, as as matter of fact they are one of the few places here in town that actually carries it. I bought some for my inshore reels this past summer. The local tackle shops do not even have it. It is not very popular around here, unlike other brands like Big Game and Ande or Power Pro Braid. ;D

yea haha that is hilarious.  Walmart also carries fireline, powerpro, yozuri hybrid, etc.... hahaha hilarious isnt it.
