NothingButDinks Posted April 22, 2024 Posted April 22, 2024 Hi Everyone! Getting ready to be 40 this year and have mostly just trout fished my whole life other than messing around with the occasional farm pound etc.... I got a cheap kayak at the end of last year and have fallen in love with bass fishing. I'm getting a sit-on-top later this year as the cheap kayak is not good on my back!! 2 Quote

Zcoker Posted April 22, 2024 Posted April 22, 2024 Welcome aboard! If I at all can offer any good advice would be to get those things that are going to be top notch for your intended usage, even though they may cost a lot more. Get them now because, in the long run, I've seen folks spend twice as much achieving what they could've gotten in the first place for half the cost. 2 Quote

That is definitely the route that I'm going. I'm more of a buy once cry once kind of person. 1 Quote

PaulVE64 Posted April 28, 2024 Posted April 28, 2024 Your years of chasing trout should help. Smallies are alot like trout but add a touch more drag and watch out for the aerial assaults. It's a blast on the river! 1 Quote
