Skeeloco Posted April 21, 2024 Posted April 21, 2024 I grabbed me a great condition Metanium '16 off eBay. I love the reel but found out it has one fault...the thumb bar rubber will pop off on you. I was lucky to not lose it the first time. Superglued back on but I can tell it's loose and will likely pop off again...superglue doesn't bond too well to rubber nor metal. Is epoxy a good idea? This is a much better idea: Liquid Nails Fuze*It - All Purpose Adhesive Clean both surfaces with alcohol first. Have patience and give it a few days to cure and the bond will be awesome and remains flexible. Use mineral spirits for cleanup. 2 Quote
ABU is overpriced Posted April 21, 2024 Posted April 21, 2024 Standard super glue from Gorila should hold it without any issues. Have had this done twice over the years. Just clean it with 99% alcohol before applying glue, and let the glue bond overnight. 1 Quote

Super User bulldog1935 Posted April 22, 2024 Super User Posted April 22, 2024 no rubber grip, but KDW makes an easy alloy clutch bar replacement https://www.hedgehog-studio.co.jp/product/1763 1 Quote
