Speedy Turtle Posted April 18, 2024 Posted April 18, 2024 I was looking for a reel to go with a ML rod for finesse bass fishing (neds, shakeyhead, etc.). I was interested in either the Daiwa Tatula MQ LT or the Ballistic MQ LT. This will only be used in freshwater if that matters. I was wondering what's the difference between these two reels and which reel might be better suited to my needs or if they are both equally great options. Anyone had the chance to try out both of these reels? Quote
LCG Posted April 18, 2024 Posted April 18, 2024 I don't have either of those reels, but I do have the old Tatula LT and did compare it with the old ballistic. The Tatula LT is much lighter that the MQ, the Ballistic adds seals. For freshwater I don't think seals are necessary. I have my Tatula LT 2000 paired to a Daiwa Rebellion 6'8 ML-F spinning rod and it balances very well and it's very lightweight, 9.3oz total weight. Quote
