Berkeley Fusion hooks

Looking for opinions on the Berkeley Fusion hooks.  I know they've been out for a while, which is good because people have had time on the water with them.  Looking for a specific opinion on their feathered treble hooks.  A friend of mine says the trebles are much better than their worm hooks etc.  As always . . . thanks much.

They are very sharp and very strong but kind of brittle/'hard'.  They tend to break before they bend.

 

The biggest advantage for me is how light weight they are.  Can help make a bait float that otherwise sinks or suspends.

they are fine.  I still prefer gamakatsu across the board.  The magic eye round bend treble is my standard replacement treble hook.  The g-finesse are crazy sharp if you need a light wire hook.  Learn to tie your own feathered trebles and save a bunch of money.  Also you'll always have them available to you for any lure.

They're a pretty good hook, but I have had quite a few points roll on me.

I fish mainly Berkley hooks, from their trebles, EWG, Swimbait hooks/weighted and unweighted,

and smaller ones for panfish/trout and salmon/steelhead. Im happy with them, and have only broken 1 treble because i was fishing crankbaits on a non cranking rod and had my drag tight, and was reeling in a 5lber well that broke one side off the hook . Since then ive used the right gear and had the drags set right and the hooks hold up great for me. Havent broke another one since and im using some hook from Berkley every time im on the water. They arent worth full price tho, always buy them on sale. For the MSRP price get Gamakatsu's or VMC's.

I wouldn't change them on a new bait but I keep a eye on them.  I usually switch the the ST 36 or Daiichi death traps .

I'm a fan of the weedless wacky hooks with the fluoro weed guards.

Despite me not being much of fan of their hard baits, I have no complaints about their hooks. I do like the trebles and especially their weighted wacky worm hooks. Their trebles are not at the top of my lis though. I would put Owner's above them any day of the week. I also like the Ryugi Pierce hooks as well.

I have used them at times I personally have never had a issue with them. The treble hooks should be just fine for you. The only thing I don't like about them is they have not come out in bulk packaging. I prefer Vmc and Owner hooks for most of what I do. My last treble hooks were Gama's and I have bought 2 packs of their new Nano hooks and I like them pretty much if they come out in bulk I might be changing over to them.

We are slowly using them more. We have the Dredger crank baits that we really like and they are super sticky, same with the Stunna jerkbait.

 

Their drop shot hooks are the best we've used.

I have several Berkley crankbaits with them, but after missing fish I switched the hooks out for Gamakatsu trebles. Problem solved!

For my fishing I try to keep all my hooks gamakatsu but I stumbled upon Berkleys weighted wacky worm hooks and to my surprise they’re actually pretty awesome…. I don’t know if they’re even the “fusion 19” but they’re a Berkley hook I use and I’m happy with them. Having said that all my other hooks I won’t be changing over to Berkley because the gamas have never let me down.

Very sharp and they stay sharp barring a rolled point.
