I have a 2020 Nitro Z20 boat and I've noticed a bit of wear on the carpet of the trailer bunks. There are two streaks, about 4-6 inches long, where the carpet appears silver due to the fibers being pushed down. Additionally, I observed a small circular hole, approximately the size of a dime, on the right side. I live in Iowa and it seems like there are no professionals who work on these trailers here, so I will need to tackle this myself. Do you have any recommendations for carpet replacement? Also, is there a way to find the measurements of the boards online?

I used outdoor carpet from Lowe's or something.   Take off the old carpet delicately and use as a template.

I've done this twice now.  Both times it was the same side that ripped (driver side) because there was more weight there when I loaded up.  I now stand in the middle of the boat when loading to more evenly distribute weight and have not had any issues since.

I would recommend marine bunk carpet.  Not just any old house carpet.  Marine bunk carpet is thicker and designed for that purpose.  This is assuming the actual bunks aren't damaged.  Make sure you use stainless steel staples.

Or, you can go the alternative route and put in ultimate bunk boards.  They seem to have good reviews and those on here that have put them in seem to be satisfied.  Obviously that eliminates the potential ripping of bunk carpet forever.

I'm tempted to put gatorback material on mine the next time the bunk carpet rips.  I don't know anyone who's used this but its seems like a good alternative in between carpet and new boards.

Either way, you'll need to get the boat off the trailer.  I simply went down to the local access when it wasn't busy, unloaded the boat, parked it at the dock, and went to work on the trailer.  It'll take you a while.
