Speedy Turtle Posted April 8, 2024 Posted April 8, 2024 Heard good things about In-fisherman's old books, especially the critical concept series. Does anyone know where you can purchase these and if they are still being made or can you only get them used? Any more up to date books similar to this series that is available? Quote

Super User MIbassyaker Posted April 8, 2024 Super User Posted April 8, 2024 I believe they are out of print, but you should be able to get used copies at online marketplaces. There are three volumes for bass -- fundamentals, location, and presentation. All are very good. In-fisherman also published the Largemouth and Smallmouth Handbooks of Strategies. These are still in print, but older. However, they contain a lot of the same basic information as the Critical Concepts series (although less current on a number of things, especially lures). Here's a good book thread with lots of recommendations: 1 Quote

Just a little outdated in terms of current techniques? Are you sure the smallmouth book is still in print? Looks like they only sell used on amazon Quote

The Presentation volume of Critical Concepts is almost entirely new though, updated for modern lures. I saw the most recent printing of the handbooks new on shelves in stores just a few years ago, but might be out of print now. However, they are easily available for cheap used, which is how I got mine. 1 Quote
