Can't find this anywhere

Over 20 years ago, I purchased a small tackle box with some old lures. I was just digging through it because it's been stashed away for years. Well I found this little 2 inch soft plastic brown frog with yellow eyes. I thought to myself this would be great for a Ned-Rig. So I threw it on a ned rig, and in my small opinion it looks great and I hope the small mouth do too. The problem is, that I want to buy a few more of these exact same ones to add to my other 800,000 soft Plastics but can't find them anywhere. I did a Google picture search and all kinds of searches and can't seem to find them. I'm guessing they don't make them anymore. If anyone recognizes these and could help me with this searchthat would be great. Thanks

Oh and Also, the box of old lures I bought years ago was at a yard sale,  so I never really went through it. And also, I haven't fished this yet so I don't know if it will work. Everytime I think something looks good, the fish don't. Lol

I don’t know the name but I had some 30 years ago and I might still have a few downstairs.

Doesn't look too different from a Strike King Gurgle Toad....though smaller.

 

That's a bit wide for Ned IMO.

 

Try a Z-man Baby Goat. Excellent flapping legs, but in a slimmer profile. I fished those on a Ned with great results.

My guess is that is a Manns bait or Mister Twister based on the looks.

Yes you are right, it is a little wider than your normal Ned Rig. I'm just experimenting and thought it looked good, and it's a different look.

I'm pretty sure this frog was made by Johnson. I remember this being advertised on the Virgil Ward Championship Fishing show. They came in brown, black and frog green color.                                                                   It was meant to use as a spinnerbait, spoon or jig trailer. I haven't seen these in many years.

I have a few of them;  they are in an unmarked plastic bag.  Don't remember how many decades since I used them.

Mobasser might be right.   It was definitely made by either Johnson or Betts,  because it was a type of beetle spin.  I still have 2 in green and white frog color...over 35 years later.  They haven't been made in decades and I'd be shocked if you could find any old stock, especially since bluegills would peck the tails off quite often.

This ones got me.  Looks like a spin off  version of the Johnson Talking Frog.

Thanks for the feedback, i appreciate it.  That's pretty cool I found something so old in my tackle box. Its pretty amazing I found something so old I can't even find it on the internet. Lol
