Super User Choporoz Posted September 18, 2024 Super User Posted September 18, 2024 I am thinking they should go a different direction. I fully expect NFL to add a game to regular season. I say add a week to regular season and drop all preseason games. One or two joint practices, then Go! 1 Quote

The league has been going in this direction for quite a while, so it’s definitely a possibility. In the 70’s there were 6 exhibition games to start the season, with what a 15 round draft? The league then decided to shorten the exhibition season, adding those games to the regular season to drum up more interest towards ticket sales. I think if anything, the league would probably use the revenue generated argument to go to 2 exhibition games as opposed to joint practices. And like you mentioned, add the game to the regular season schedule. Quote

Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted September 24, 2024 Global Moderator Posted September 24, 2024 QB clinic going on in Buffalo! 1 Quote
Super User gim Posted September 24, 2024 Author Super User Posted September 24, 2024 It is a clinic in Buffalo tonight. Honestly the Bills might as well rest their starters in the second half at this point. 1 Quote

I may have jumped the gun. I'm glad he had a good year, but I'm not convinced it was worth it. Is preseason finally over? I haven't watched more than a quarter of a game yet, but there's a few interesting matchups I'd like to see this weekend. And, about a half dozen that you couldn't pay me to watch. Quote
Super User gim Posted September 28, 2024 Author Super User Posted September 28, 2024 I heard this on the radio this morning while listening to fantasy football weekly in the boat. The three highest paid quarterbacks in the league have not won a single game combined yet this season. Burrow, 0-3 Lawrence, 0-3 Love, 0-1 Combined 0-7 2 Quote

That contract doesn't start until next season. His cap hit this season is $43 million. His new deal is in fact 60 mil/season for 4 years (2025 -2028). 1 Quote

Global Moderator Mike L Posted September 30, 2024 Global Moderator Posted September 30, 2024 Baltimore did a good job but not as dominant as what Tampa did to Philadelphia, and I’m not a Tampa fan at all. Mike Quote

Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted September 30, 2024 Global Moderator Posted September 30, 2024 Yeah that was a rough one last night for my Bills. Quote
Super User Bird Posted September 30, 2024 Super User Posted September 30, 2024 @12poundbass Bills will be fine. NE, Miami and the Jets all look like bottom feeders in AFC East thus far. Josh Allen is a top tier QB as well. 2 Quote
Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted September 30, 2024 Global Moderator Posted September 30, 2024 @Bird I’m not worried and I know they can’t win them all, but that was a blowout! The Ravens always play the Bills tough and Allen is 1-2 against them. He (Allen) had one helluva pass to midfield as he was running for his life at the sidelines. Dude is a freak! 1 Quote
Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted October 1, 2024 Global Moderator Posted October 1, 2024 What a great game last night! From the opening kickoff, I don’t think there was a dull moment the entire game. 2 1 Quote
Super User Bird Posted October 1, 2024 Super User Posted October 1, 2024 @12poundbass Miami vs Tennessee wasn't dull ?.......I detect sarcasm. Miami literally looked like a highschool team and " Snoop " Huntley couldn't put a football in a swimming pool. 👍 1 Quote
Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted October 1, 2024 Global Moderator Posted October 1, 2024 @Bird I was referring to Detroit Seattle game. I didn’t watch the JV game. 😁 1 1 Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted October 2, 2024 BassResource.com Administrator Posted October 2, 2024 While I still believe the Seahawks would have lost, they certainly didn't need any help from the refs. It was a much closer game than the score suggests on account of some very poor calls that even the announcers were questioning. Quote
