Yup, I'm not signing up for any streaming services just to watch sports.  If it keeps going that way, I'll back to the good 'ol FREE radio to listen to games.

Its kind of ridiculous.  They want to you to sign up for every streaming platform so you can get all the games.  I'm sure there will be another exclusive playoff game on peacock too in January.  🖕

Thats what I do, and you can just fish with earbuds in while listening to football. Best of both worlds

Brandon Aiyuk is signed, Ricky Pearsall fortunately is OK, projected to miss four weeks of games and Trent Williams contract situation resolved. Nice to be moving forward towards Monday night’s game in New York.

Go Niners!

Ehhh, like you said it’s a minor detail but I’m glad to see you’re paying attention 👍. It’s still a 1715 start time, and I’m happy it’s not on that MetLife artificial grass.

I picked the Ravens vs Niners last year for SB........ yes I forgot about Mahomes.

But I'm picking Ravens Niners again, especially if Joe can work his magic in Burrowhead and eliminate Chiefs.

My one prediction that I'm very confident about is.......Dak lays an egg in the playoffs.

Its quite possible he becomes the highest paid player in NFL history when this season ends.  He is in his final season of his current contract, which states they cannot franchise tag him, and they cannot trade him.  He will be an unrestricted free agent by next season unless Dallas re-signs him before then.

Clearly he and the Cowboys have had their post season struggles in recent years, but he will easily be the highest quality unrestricted free agent QB in the history of the NFL if Dallas lets him walk.  That may command up to $60 mil/season on the open market.

Currently, the highest paid QBs are Burrow, Love, and Lawrence.  They each make $55 mil/season per their contract.

I know the Cowboys and Prescott are disliked by just about everyone outside of Dallas fans, but letting him walk away would be a mistake for the Cowboys.  They just re-signed Lamb to a 4 year deal and they have no alternative long term plan at QB.  They won't be in line for a high draft pick either, since they'll probably be a playoff team again this season.  He may put up MVP numbers again this season which would only bolster his contract price.  Last year he led the league in TD passes with 36 and finished 2nd in MVP voting behind Jackson.  A 31 year old NFL QB that can post numbers like that would be highly desired by half the teams in the league.

Blows my mind that NFL won't offer an ala carte system that let's you buy individual games.

Youtube TV actually tried to offer that this season as a NFL Sunday Ticket “lite” version, but it was rejected by the NFL and the owners. They were going to offer it by team for 75 bucks/season. It was swiftly denied.

I thought it was an entertaining opening game last night.  A little sloppy with all the penalties, but that was kind of expected when the majority of these guys don't do any preseason games anymore.

I could easily see the Chiefs winning a third straight super bowl too.  They will be a tough out for anyone come January, whether at home or away.  The scary part is that Kelce didn't really even do much last night and they still looked fairly explosive on offense.

Lamar will not survive half the season if they dont fix the OLine problem. Dude was running for his life after every snap.

Also, the Ravens not using Henry more was certainly strange.

Interesting first game of the season, especially the officiating. Apparently, offense linemen in the backfield is a major point of focus when it pertains to Baltimore last night. And what, anyone can call timeout cause they’re really not not rules, they’re more like guidelines?

I have to agree with you @Texas Flood regarding Baltimore’s line play. Early on KC was focused on stopping Derick Henry making the offense one dimensional and they were definitely successful. Some of Jackson’s runs seemed to me at times were more by design than pass protection breaking down. Their line play in the fourth quarter was much better allowing Lamar to stretch the field and almost tie the game.

As for KC, they didn’t look like they missed a beat, appeared to have improved their team speed and are the AFC favorites for a reason.

Yup, just weird. Maybe just line up and punt the ball like a sandlot game.

The Chefs are going to be salty this year.

They have very much improved their receiving corps, have an additional tight-end, Pachecco runs like a beast, have a great defensive coordinator...and have Mahomes.

Guy at work is a huge KC fan...says the new nickname is "Hat-trick-Mahomes."

The NFL needs to stop having these international games until they can fix the field issues.

X. Worthy 😳

That kid is fast.

If Baltimore can fix the O-line they'll be fine.

Oh, 2 good games to start the year.

Barkley is the leading vote getter for MVP. 😂

Jordan Love appears to have avoided tearing anything major in his knee from preliminary testing.  They will be conducting more tests to determine the damage.

Either way, it looks like he will miss some time.  Enter Malik Willis. 😬

KC’s OL was lined up as bad (or worse) than the Ravens, and didn’t get one flag. And their RT was FS almost every other snap. The officiating was extremely poor. Spags calling (and getting) a TO and not drawing a penalty is mind-numbing.

Still, the Ravens were a toe away from overtime, or a win. With a 60% new OL, they played pretty darned well considering the opponent and a hostile environment.

Yeah sounds like maybe a few weeks out. NFL still needs to take care of the field issue before the London games in October.

I saw 3-6 weeks this afternoon.

Their back up options at QB are not remotely competent at all.

Prescott signed a 4 year/240 mil contract this morning. That now puts him at 60 mil/year starting next season, surpassing the most recent contracts of Burrow, Love, and Lawrence.
