BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted November 29, 2024 BassResource.com Administrator Posted November 29, 2024 I'm not a Bears fan, but that last 35 seconds was inexcusable. It was amateur hour at the corner bar. He's not the only one that should have been fired. It takes a herd of sheep both on and off the field to make such a colossal mistake - not listening to the people saying "Hey, stop the clock!" is an epic fail. Anyone that didn't listen should be fired. If you can't play smart football, you don't belong in the NFL. That whole organization needs a complete overhaul. But not until December 27th....the day after the Seahawks play them. 3 1 Quote
Global Moderator Mike L Posted November 29, 2024 Global Moderator Posted November 29, 2024 That’s what did it! It’s gotta be all about the QB now. Other than the first half yesterday the kid has been great for 3 games since changing OC’s He’s broke 2 Bear records (yeah I know it’s a low bar but it stood for over 80yrs by “Chucking” Charlie O Rourke! And one NFL record yesterday for most completions without a INT. We’ll be fine Mike 1 Quote

detroit1 Posted November 30, 2024 Posted November 30, 2024 I think the Bears have finally got themselves a quarterback. Tough fought game, players on both sides getting knocked out of the game. Lion's defense had only 2 starters starting the game. Aaron Glenn (D/C) is trying to keep it together, I will hate losing him as a head coach somewhere next year. Quote

What will hurt him is the way he backed out of the Washington interview last year and his supposed salary demand. But somebody will pay him. Mike Quote
detroit1 Posted November 30, 2024 Posted November 30, 2024 I think his salary "demand" last year was just to keep him with the Lions, I think he will stay until he gets to a super bowl. Plus, not everyone wants to be a head coach. More $, more headaches, and less time doing what he likes O/C- ing. I am hoping that Sheila throws them both too much money to leave. Let's finish this thing. Quote

But you’re right he may not want to, but even if he does there’s no telling he or any of the others wouldn’t fail as a head coach. History if full of hot shot coordinators who fail when they get the title until they find out they already had it the best it’ll ever be. Mike 3 Quote

BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted December 2, 2024 BassResource.com Administrator Posted December 2, 2024 Whelp, the bumbling, stumbling, directionless and undisciplined Seahawks managed to pull one off.....because the Jets saw and raised them, setting the bar lower for a bumbling, stumbling, directionless and undisciplined NFL team. Both teams looked drunk. 3 Quote

I think the Jets are the worst team in the NFL. Maybe not on paper, but certainly the biggest disappointment. Even more so than the Cowboys. At least Dallas has an excuse (injuries). The Jets don't have an excuse. They are a laughing stock, sitting at a record of 3-9. And the Bengals, with all the talent they have, aren't far behind either. Two teams projected to be playoff contenders. They are massive embarrassments. 1 Quote

Been to at least one snow game back in the early 90s. Nothing like freezing one's tuchus off at Rich Stadium in the nosebleeds where the wind is ripping over the stadium walls. Quote

Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted December 2, 2024 Global Moderator Posted December 2, 2024 @gimruis San Fran is on the struggle bus for sure and then McCaffrey goes down. The Bills on the other hand look like they’re just having a blast. GO BILLS! 2 Quote

Ok, first series was good, went down from there. Sad about CMC. Hope he recovers quickly... But GO BILLS!! 3 Quote
Super User J._Bricker Posted December 3, 2024 Super User Posted December 3, 2024 I did like the Yoda speak @gimruis 👍, just not sure how the Niners gonna “prepare” for the lake effect snow. Last time it snowed in the Bay Area was ‘75 and it was pretty special and a lot of fun. Just gotta lace em up and make the best of the game plan and hope your personnel can execute it. Anyway, this years version of the Niners aren’t even close to being on par with the team that went to last year’s Super Bowl. Football is a game that should be played outdoors, and the Bills embrace those weather conditions and use them to their advantage much like Bud Grants Vikings teams did back in the day. The season is winding down and the playoff picture is gonna get even more clear and interesting. *And loosing CMC to a potential season ending PCL injury didn’t help. 2 Quote

Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted December 7, 2024 Global Moderator Posted December 7, 2024 I heard on the radio the cheapest tickets for Lions/Bills is $350. Holy crap! Quote
