I think he meant a continuation of recent games/this season.  Not in their overall franchise history.

Is it just me? How many freaking times are the Chiefs going to get a freaking pass on blatant calls 🤬 I don’t care what their record is at the end of the season heck I don’t care if they win another freaking Super Bowl but for the love of Pete make them freaking earn it! And yes I’m watching the game currently and just watched them lose.

Good golly I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again John Jurkovic a former NFL player and current sports talk show host has said if you ain’t cheating you’re not trying as far as holding or any other advantage but good lord how many times are they going to show the KC offensive lineman hold on national television before the commentators let alone the referees call it. And believe me I get it although I only coached little league football I had so many kids complain to me and literally saw it with my own eyes that I understand referees can only watch so much but there were times I told my players if they can get away with it so can you, whether that was right wrong immoral or not it’s the reality but we weren’t being shown on national television every week either.

Seems like there's always one division winner every season in which the record is pretty mediocre.  This lowest division winner will host the highest wild card seed, who nearly always has a better record.  Will likely be the case this year too as both the Vikings and Packers are 9-2 and 8-3, respectively.  The last few years the Eagles and Cowboys have been alternating NFC East wins with the other being the 5 seed who has to play on the road.

 

That's just how it goes.  You want a home playoff game you gotta win your division.

Bears head coach Matt Eberflus has been fired.

 

The Bears have lost 6 games in a row and the debacle at the end of regulation against the Lions yesterday was enough.

 

Can't say I disagree with the decision after the disastrous clock mismanagement in Detroit.  35 seconds remaining, in field goal range, behind by 3, and a time out remaining.  Instead, the decision is made to allow time to expire and the game ends with a 23-20 loss to the Lions.

From someone who has lived and breathed Bears football for 65 yrs it should have happened last year. 
 

At his press conference this morning he doubled down on all his decisions not just yesterday. 
He was asked if he was in danger of losing his job and said no.
He said he hasn’t met with the GM and President yet and he said he would be when he got done there.

Honestly I thought they had played much better the past 3 games against the rest of the division even though they didn't win any of them.

 

But the final 35 seconds yesterday just makes you scratch your head.

The offense has played a bit better due to the new coordinator and the fact that Caleb Williams is becoming more comfortable although he definitely reminds at least me he’s still a rookie that holds on a bit too long at times but I can deal with that. The defense on the other hand has definitely in my view  shown some serious disconnect which is where Eberflus is/was supposed to shine, so between that and his definite poor game management overall that has gained national attention I’m very happy to see him go but I do worry about the next head coach hiring.
