VolFan Posted November 4, 2024 Posted November 4, 2024 @Glenn I can’t decide if Geno is great or a bust. Great drive to tie it but some boneheaded stuff in there too…he sure threw a few pretty balls on it though. Quote
Super User Darren. Posted November 4, 2024 Super User Posted November 4, 2024 Lions look like the NFC team most likely headed to the SB. Open for grabs in the AFC. I'm just glad my Bills Squished the Fish! (yeah, dolphins are mammals, but Mash the Mammals doesn't work well). Go Bills! 1 2 Quote

I understand what you're saying here but I agree with @Darren. The AFC has more teams that could win the conference than the NFC does. The NFC has the Lions and then everyone else, more or less. Although the AFC still has the champs and they haven't lost yet, I don't think they are as superior to the other contending teams as the Lions are in the NFC. I still can't quite figure out the Ravens. At times they look unstoppable on offense but they have losses to the lowly Raiders and Browns, two teams they should whip the snot out of on paper. 1 Quote
detroit1 Posted November 4, 2024 Posted November 4, 2024 The Lions can't play outside in weather. HaHa. Goff / St. Brown connection have 30 straight completions. Crazy numbers for Goff this year. The Lions are on a mission... 1 1 Quote
Super User gim Posted November 4, 2024 Author Super User Posted November 4, 2024 The pick 6 by Jordan Love late in the first half was back breaking. It was a terrible decision and it turned the game out of hand at that point. He has a 61.3 completion percentage, and leads the league in interceptions, in only 7 games played. Certainly the elements yesterday and perhaps some lingering injury issues are playing a role, but I dare say "sophomore slump" given the enormous pay increase he received this offseason. CJ Stroud is having the same issues in a sophomore slump, and ironically, they are both 6-3. Both teams are lucky to be 6-3 at this point given how poorly their QBs have played. Quote
Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted November 4, 2024 Global Moderator Posted November 4, 2024 I would love for someone to beat the chiefs but……. they never do when it counts except of course my bungles 1 Quote
Super User J._Bricker Posted November 5, 2024 Super User Posted November 5, 2024 Regarding @TnRiver46’s above statement, it will continue to ring true now and until the champs aren’t the champs. Quote

Super User BrianMDTX Posted November 6, 2024 Super User Posted November 6, 2024 @gimruis I’m a Ravens fan and I can’t figure them out at times. Last year’s defense was one of the best ever. This year they are #1 against the run, but the secondary (which was supposed to be the strongest part of the defense) has been a sieve. The offense is prolific. Yes, the Browns game was not up to par, but AFCN division games are always tough. Like this Thursday’s game will be. But Jackson is at the top of his game and with Henry in the backfield, Baltimore is capable of scoring 35-40 points or more at any time. 2 Quote

Super User Bird Posted November 6, 2024 Super User Posted November 6, 2024 We've lived through the painful years of predictability with Tom Brady and now we have to do it again with Mahomes. Yes, I think Baltimore is the best team in the AFC but they won't come out of KC with a win in the playoffs. Detroit looks like a lock in the NFC. 1 Quote
Super User BrianMDTX Posted November 9, 2024 Super User Posted November 9, 2024 What has more holes than Swiss cheese? The Ravens secondary. I don’t know what the fix is. Pundits said “lack of pass rush”. Well, that was not the case last night and the DB’s got torched. But…I’ll take the W! Quote

Really? I actually think it's fascinating watching a generation player like them play. I mean, for me, Joe Montana was that player for me growing up. I was glued to the television every chance I got to see him play...even back in his college career he was that player for me. 1 Quote

Super User gim Posted November 17, 2024 Author Super User Posted November 17, 2024 I think it's safe to say that everyone outside of the Chiefs fanbase is pulling for Buffalo today. Should the Chiefs prevail, they will have a 3 game lead on their two next closest competitors in the AFC, plus the head to head tie breaker. Buffalo has to win if they want any chance at catching KC for the top seed. 1 Quote

Not me. Unless it's the Pats, I love it when the road team wins. Of course the networks probably prefer it the other way. A dead quite crowd after the first half is probably not a ratings booster. Btw, The Detroit Lions are looking good again. A-Jay 1 Quote
