Super User gim Posted March 11, 2024 Super User Posted March 11, 2024 Goodbye Kirko Chains. He's off to Atlanta on a 4 year deal. The Vikings are left choosing between Nick Mullens, Jaren Hall, and Josh Dobbs. Pick your poop. Can't imagine Jefferson is happy about this either. 1 Quote
Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted March 11, 2024 Global Moderator Posted March 11, 2024 Russell Wilson to the Steelers and this bengals fan is slightly concerned haha. The Steelers can win 10 games with a blow up doll at QB 1 1 Quote

Super User Bird Posted April 2, 2024 Super User Posted April 2, 2024 After all the moves the pecking order is still much the same. Imo Baltimore - KC in the AFC Philly - SF in the NFC AFC sleeper - Houston Texans NFC sleeper - Green Bay Packers 1 Quote

Suddenly, even fewer will be surprised if they are playing in late Jan, or even Feb next year. 1 Quote

I find it ironic that they still think the niners are better than the Chiefs even after the outcome in the super bowl and the moves made in free agency. This might change some after the draft later this month. 49ers 5-1 Chiefs 6-1 Ravens 9-1 Bills 12-1 Lions, Cowboys 13-1 Bengals 15-1 Eagles 17-1 Packers 22-1 Dolphins, Texans 25-1 Quote

I'd have Philly at least 10 - 1 due to off-season moves and coaching changes. Quote
Super User Choporoz Posted April 2, 2024 Super User Posted April 2, 2024 Cowboys odds must simply be propped up by having lots of unrealistic fans willing to part with their cash. No way you can convince me that they have a better chance of winning the Super Bowl than 27 other teams. Maybe ahead of Raiders, Cardinals, Pats, Commanders, Panthers and Bears....another 6 or 8 I'd say wash ....but probably 15-18 teams I would bet on before Dallas. I do sorta enjoy that Dak looked good enough for a while that they are willing to put full faith in him once again. The ratcheted up disappointment is going to be fun 1 Quote

Full disclosure, I am not a Cowboys fan, I am a Vikings fan. On paper, they are a division winner and have gone 12-5 for three straight seasons. Prescott just finished third in the MVP voting behind Jackson and Purdy. That's better than probably 25 of the 32 teams in the league which clearly puts them in the upper tier of competition. Your personal ranking of them as past failures in the playoffs or not is irrelevant in terms of what the oddmakers think. They have a good roster and they will be in contention again next season. Really no different than the Bills - a team with above average talent, a high quality QB, and able to win the division, but is not able to duplicate success in the playoffs. Quote
Super User Choporoz Posted April 2, 2024 Super User Posted April 2, 2024 So...you don't disagree completely ....they are not winning the Super Bowl, right? You could be right....I may not enjoy the 'tears of unfathomable sadness' this year...if so, I can wait until next year 1 Quote

If I was going to bet on a team at this point, it would not be Dallas. But that still doesn't reflect the fact that they are a quality team and they are ranked about where they should be in the odds. The Ravens finished as a higher seed and didn't fare much better, even with an MVP at the helm. So there's that too. You might have noticed that the teams with the higher odds have a quality QB too. I mean the Bengals completely missed the playoffs last season yet they still have pretty high odds next year. Quote
Super User Choporoz Posted April 2, 2024 Super User Posted April 2, 2024 Ha! Gotta Love the new owner Quote
Super User Bird Posted April 2, 2024 Super User Posted April 2, 2024 The Cowboys are certainly a quality football team and will likely win 11 - 12 games. Their issues start in the post season with the culprit being Dak Prescott. Quote

The only caveat is if who they’re zeroed in at 9 is gone. If that happens they will trade back to get the 2 that was used on Sweat. Poles loves his draft picks and 4 really isn’t enough but I’d be ok with taking an immediate starter at the X (Odunze) or right DE (Turner) Its gonna be fun this year! Mike 1 Quote
