I just joined the forum. I’ve been largemouth bass fishing for around 25 years from a youjgster. I mainly fish small shallow lakes/ponds and love beating the banks either from aluminum

my bateau or the banks. My go to rig is a Shimano Calcutta ct50b paired with a falcon medium- heavy  6’6” rod using mostly soft plastics. I’m currently fishing a culprit 7.5” red shad worm on  10 pound stren clear/blue line and an 1/8 or even a 1/16 ounce bullet weight rigged traditional Texas style with gold success .  This looks like a great resource community to us anglers and will

appreciate any advice or wisdom anyone is willing to share when I ask stupid questions ok. lol

“The only stupid question is the one never asked”

An instructor had this hanging on his wall, never forgot it.

Thank you all. I agree there’s no such thing as a stupid question . I had a teacher once that told us to always use KISS philosophy which is keep it simple stupid. Never forget that. one of the few things I remember from high school. lol

Me too. I'm in Maine, but we fish similar water.

Hot Boudin! Great having you join us.

Just remember to wear your purple and gold and yell "Geaux Tigers" when you set the hook.

For more information on fishing Louisiana, check out Catt on this site. He is a walking encyclopedia of great information.
