BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted April 4, 2024 BassResource.com Administrator Posted April 4, 2024 Same price, same quality hooks we’ve all used, same sharp points, and now with the added coating, we have better hook penetration, and 4x the corrosion resistance. https://bit.ly/4cltSAc 1 1 Quote

Super User ChrisD46 Posted April 16, 2024 Super User Posted April 16, 2024 I would love to see more Gammy hook styles adopt this new hook / coating technology ! 1 Quote
Aaron_H Posted April 16, 2024 Posted April 16, 2024 I'd be interested in this if they apply it to the Wide Gap Finesse hook, would definitely pick up a pack to try in such a case. 1 Quote

I suspect you're going to see a wide variety of their hooks offered with it before long. It's already offered in several different varieties in the JDM market, just hasn't hit the domestic market yet. 1 Quote
Super User LrgmouthShad Posted April 17, 2024 Super User Posted April 17, 2024 All of my “regular” diameter worm hooks are Gamakatsu. They are what I believe in. I definitely don’t think the nano coating will hurt anything. Quote
Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted April 17, 2024 Global Moderator Posted April 17, 2024 @LrgmouthShad they’re the same price as the “regular” hooks and you don’t have to worry about them rusting. Win win! Quote

Think "hover rig", "football jig", and more. And yes, I bought them while I was in Japan (so did all the other U.S. Gamakatsu employees I was with). Nano Alpha hooks have been available in Japan for years, and they're HUGELY popular. They're coming.... 1 Quote

Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted April 21, 2024 Global Moderator Posted April 21, 2024 I pointed it out before, but prefishing on Friday they were on a Texas rig bite, and it was every, single fish. Every time, that hook point was blowing through, despite me being in a kayak, in windy conditions, didn't matter. It's a huge confidence boost knowing the hook is going to stick them. The only downside, I stuck a couple I tried to shake off because the hook was digging in so easy 😅 1 Quote
