Siebert Outdoors Posted December 21, 2006 Posted December 21, 2006 Your not right Raul. Does this average out 1 per day of dec? Quote
Super User Raul Posted December 21, 2006 Author Super User Posted December 21, 2006 I know I 'm ........ain 't it kool ? Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted December 21, 2006 Posted December 21, 2006 are those reels you just got for these rods? What do you think of the rods Quote
Super User Raul Posted December 21, 2006 Author Super User Posted December 21, 2006 I 'm leveling things up GMan, I 've always had more reels than rods ( hey, I like reels ) 3 reels for each rod so I 'm pretty short on rods. I have made a couple of casts with the MG ( all purpose ) and the LTA, they feel fine, but it 's not the same to make several casts than beating the heck out of them in a day. In the worst case that they are not to my complete liking I can sell them and get me what I 'm used to ( GLoomis ). So far, the Crankbait rod is quite wide compared to the All Purpose, if you look at the pic closely you 'll see that one looks beefier, that one is the crankbait rod, it feels strange ( the handle it 's a little bit wider ) but let me mount a reel and test it to make a better opinion. Super User 5bass Posted December 21, 2006 Super User Posted December 21, 2006 I think the Magnesium crankbait rod is a composite.....is that correct? That would explain the "bigger" blank. The Kistler Mag's are real nice rods and very light.Merry Christmas Raul! Quote
Super User Raul Posted December 21, 2006 Author Super User Posted December 21, 2006 Correct, glass/graphite composite. Very light I may add, I feel the very slight difference in weight between both but it 's insignificant. Quote
basspro48 Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 dang Raul, Christmas just keeps on comin early for you doesn't it lol. Now you just need a few more pink...excuse me, matte red pixy's to go with em Quote
Pond Hopper Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 Mental note: move to Mexico and become a veterinarian. That high dollar Japanese stuff sure looks nice. Quote
volpster31 Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 hi raul ....um,i mean DAD...its me....your long lost, unknown, forgotten son!!!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D is there any way youd be interested in the adoption of a grown man who is in desperate need of japanese gear? Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 If Raul has gotten all this stuff before christmas it really makes me wonder what he will get on christmas day. Quote
Hawgin Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 Okay Raul, I have to ask. As a vet in Mexico, are you supplementing your fishing income by distributing "medication" to professional U.S. athletes? I only ask because you've spent more on japanese fishing tackle in the last month than it cost me to buy my house (and it's a nice house.) All these other guys want you to share your tackle with them, I would just be happy if you got me an autograph the next time you hook up Barry Bonds. ;D Quote
TournyFish001 Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 I just bought a kistler mag 6'9" med hv all purpose rod- I get it next wed- I can't wait to pair it with my new Scorpion 1001 mg! should be a nice light combo- Quote

Hawgin Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 I understand there is quite a market for some of those horse hormones and steroids. Quote
Ranger_man Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 Those are awsome rods, you will definetly love those. I love kistlers Quote
Super User FishTank Posted December 23, 2006 Super User Posted December 23, 2006 Man, you have got some awesome stuff. Just to poke a little fun since I am a part time photographer. Based on the photos, maybe you should introduce the baitmonkey to the photomonkey. Be careful, you'll find the photomonkey can get you in even more trouble. He can easily spend $1000- $2000 at a time. d**n monkies. Quote
castaway Posted December 23, 2006 Posted December 23, 2006 Raul, When will the madness stop ? There ought to be some sort of law against it ? Congratulations, May your old tackle relocate to my house where it would be appreciated. Ivan Quote
Super User Raul Posted December 23, 2006 Author Super User Posted December 23, 2006 Fish Tank, it 's obvious by my pictures that the photomonkey does not whisper in my ear, the BaitMonkey doesn 't allow his cousin to do so, somehow I just can 't make myself to the idea of spending a half a grand or more in a camera, half a grand in rods....that 's another story. Don 't know when the madness is going to stop Ivan, so far I 'm enjoying it. ;D Quote
