wdp Posted April 1, 2024 Posted April 1, 2024 Where do ya’ll buy your fluorocarbon line? I’m big fan of 12 and 15# Seaguar InvizX and it’s starting to get really pricey. Just ordered a 600 yd spool of 15# InvizX from Academy for $53 total with tax; not too bad. But the 200 yd spools are really getting high approaching $30. 😳😬 Seems like I remember a topic about this a few yrs ago & somebody mentioned ordering from Amazon. But it was also mentioned that occasionally people felt like they were getting low quality line or that the line wasn’t the brand they had ordered, like something shady was done by the seller. So I’ve been leery of ordering Seaguar from Amazon. Anybody know if Walmart has InvizX? In past, I’ve only seen Red Label at our local Walmarts. 1 Quote
Fishingmickey Posted April 1, 2024 Posted April 1, 2024 I usually watch for the sales and buy bulk spools. TW, Omnia, etc etc. FM 1 Quote
Global Moderator Mike L Posted April 1, 2024 Global Moderator Posted April 1, 2024 I only use Sunline flouro. When I get low I’ll just check my local tackle stores first, If none have what I need I buy direct. I’m sure a Walmart may have some a little cheaper but fishing line is the one thing I have no problem paying a little more for. Mike 2 Quote
Super User bulldog1935 Posted April 1, 2024 Super User Posted April 1, 2024 I always bought Seaguar bulk spools on ebay - there are so many garage-inventory sellers w/o overhead. I use so little fluorocarbon now, I go to Japan for Toray ExThread mainline spool charges, and YGK leader. 1 Quote
FrnkNsteen Posted April 1, 2024 Posted April 1, 2024 I have recently been buying Invisix and Suffix 832 on Amazon and have not had any issues. 3 Quote
KP Duty Posted April 1, 2024 Posted April 1, 2024 The Christmas sale deals on fluoro have been excellent the past couple years, so I've purchased from BaitWRX, TW, and Omnia. Japan sites have cheap fluoro...might check Japan lure shop. Quote
newapti5 Posted April 1, 2024 Posted April 1, 2024 https://www.campsaver.com/seaguar-invizx-fishing-line.html?_iv_fishing-pound-test=12-lb,15-lb You are a bit late - only 12lb is on sale now. If you want to have a source that constantly having sales on fishing lines, then Amazon is the only place I know. I usually buy in bulk when on sale. When stored properly, fluoro line can last for years. Quote
Super User FishTank Posted April 1, 2024 Super User Posted April 1, 2024 I buy either Sunline, Seaguar, and now Varivas FC from JLS anytime I make a JDM order. Compared to the bulk spool the OP purchased it comes out to about the same costs as they only have 100m and 200m spools. I do like Invizx though but I feel like the lines I have been getting are a step up from it. For instance, Seaguar R18 LTD is very similar to Tatsu but at a much cheaper price. Quote
