Ok so, since i dont own any Daiwa reels (almost strictly Shimano) i dont know too much about the company. When you browse the Daiwa reels on the BPS website, you will see that theres a "Daiwa" reel and then a "Team Daiwa" reel. What is the difference between the two? Is the team Daiwa reels just a reel that was designed/co-designed by one of there sponsored anglers? Do they both have the same consistent quality you would expect to follow the daiwa name brand? do they carry out the same warranty/guarentee policy?

thanks

As far as I can tell, the team Daiwa designation means that it is a high end product.

Same company.  No secret mojo.

Happy Holidays!

avid,

it is a high end product
Is right to a point.

At the time the TD designation came out (middle 90's) the input from the pro's that were on the Daiwa® Team was used quite a bit. That was how they came up with the Team Daiwa trademark......

The Daiwa reels consist of Procaster® -H, Procaster® Tournament Series,

NEW Procaster® Rojo, Millionaire® -S, Megaforce® MF150i, Triforce® TF150i, Strikeforce® SF150........

The Team Daiwa reels consist of Team Daiwa® Zillion, Team Daiwa® Viento, Team Daiwa® Sol, Team Daiwa® Fuego, Team Daiwa® Advantage, Team Daiwa® -X, Super Tuned, Team Daiwa® -X Right Hand, Team Daiwa® -X Left Hand, Team Daiwa® Luna.........

All the same company..

Tight Lines!!!
