Junger Posted March 13, 2024 Posted March 13, 2024 Maybe I missed the announcement, but are new HB units and Mega Live coming out this year? All the current models are discounted or have rebates, and usually that means new models. Quote
Super User casts_by_fly Posted March 13, 2024 Super User Posted March 13, 2024 nothing is announced, but you're right that the level of rebates/discounts ongoing makes me think new stuff is being announced soon. 1 Quote
Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted March 13, 2024 Global Moderator Posted March 13, 2024 I read somewhere else that Helix was being discontinued, which would make sense. They have Helix, Solix, and Apex. Do they need three models? Quote
Super User Tennessee Boy Posted March 13, 2024 Super User Posted March 13, 2024 They would have to introduce some smaller/cheaper Solix before they discontinue the Helix. The low end Solix is $2400. Quote
Tim Kelly Posted March 15, 2024 Posted March 15, 2024 I'm betting they have a Helix touch soon. Lowrance have just put the Eagle range out, it's high time the brands did some more affordable options with more up to date ergonomics. Quote
Dirtyeggroll Posted March 15, 2024 Posted March 15, 2024 WiFi networking live 360 by the end of the year with the new lineup… heard it from a little humminbirdie 1 Quote
Super User Tennessee Boy Posted March 15, 2024 Super User Posted March 15, 2024 I have no doubt that Humminbird executives are in a panic to catch up in the live sonar race. They are probably working on a great product that will be “ready” in 2026, which means they will release it in 2024 and they will spend the next two years fixing the bugs through software updates. I also predict they will soon add automated fish tracking to Target Lock Live. It won’t work very well. Quote
