RRocket Posted March 11, 2024 Posted March 11, 2024 So I had a Berkeley Pit Boss mixed in with a couple other baits and some color bleed occurred. But the results are rather spectacular! I bet this color gets annihilated! Standard colour right, bleed color left. So what's your story? Have you had a similarly spectacular bait bleed one off? 7 Quote
Super User casts_by_fly Posted March 11, 2024 Super User Posted March 11, 2024 I like that a lot. Clear water killer I think. I have my keitechs in one Plano. The 3.8’s are all together and I have my usual colors in there. All are similar light bottom/darker back types but there is a range of colors that mean each one is a slightly different variation of ‘natural’. You can tell what the original was but each one has a little mottling and character. 2 Quote
Bass Junke Posted March 11, 2024 Posted March 11, 2024 I use JJ magic. This stuff will bleed into everything. Particularly the Methiola, Mathio, pink. (Stupid name for the color pink). The other colors pretty much stay put. The pink will taint or tint an entire storage box if not careful. First year I used this stuff I had a bunch of various soft plastic dipped in JJ's in all the colors. Before long all baits were brown in that box, pink/red mixed with green based colors equal brown. Super User A-Jay Posted March 11, 2024 Super User Posted March 11, 2024 I do more of a "Controlled Bleed". The bottoms of these sweet Goby swimbaits showed up Bright White. Not desirable. Nothing a Spike-It pen can't fix. #greenpumpkin A-Jay 1 Quote
Pat Brown Posted March 11, 2024 Posted March 11, 2024 I use markers on hard baits and softbaits to get stuff like this! Works great when you need a certain color but just have something plain like green pumpkin or sexy shad. Quote
fin Posted March 11, 2024 Posted March 11, 2024 I've never seen blue bleed like on that Pit Boss. I don't use much blue though, so maybe that's the reason, but I thought blue didn't bleed that much. Quote
Big Rick Posted March 11, 2024 Posted March 11, 2024 That would be a killer trailer on my latest favorite spinner bait. 1 Quote

Truth be told, I am rather unlikely to use this....and would much rather see it put up proper use! 10 hours ago, fin said: I've never seen blue bleed like on that Pit Boss.
