Super User A-Jay Posted March 10, 2024 Super User Posted March 10, 2024 Thought I'd be on the water early this week, but it Snowed a couple of inches overnight here. So that's not looking good. Mean while, there's this. I went with number 3. A-Jay Quote
PBBrandon Posted March 10, 2024 Posted March 10, 2024 went with number 2 lol I kinda want number 1 to be a surprise Can find out number 3 when there and make adjustments Can always find a way to scare off number 4 6 Quote
Super User gim Posted March 10, 2024 Super User Posted March 10, 2024 Response number 4 is kinda funny. 1 1 Quote

Super User DitchPanda Posted March 10, 2024 Super User Posted March 10, 2024 #2 without a doubt. Btw @A-Jay I've seen your picture lots of times and although you don't look like him after reading #4 im not so sure your not Randy Blaukat! 3 Quote
Woody B Posted March 10, 2024 Posted March 10, 2024 I went with #3 also. Part of the fun, at least for me is the mystery of the other ones. I can look on windy or other sources for wind speed and directions but the lake channel often changes the wind. 1 Quote

Super User king fisher Posted March 10, 2024 Super User Posted March 10, 2024 I want number one to be a surprise, determining number 2 on my own is the challenge and reward I get when I go fishing, number 3 is useful important information, but doesn't interfere with the mystery of the day, and number 4 currently would not happen where I fish. For these reasons I picked number 3. 1 Quote
Super User islandbass Posted March 10, 2024 Super User Posted March 10, 2024 I chose #1. Dead of winter, Pacific Northwest, I’m a shore angler to boot, and if I know it’s going to be zero bass that day, forget that, I’ll go golfing or go on a long bike ride (road or mountain) or make some lures. With that said, I have never been caught a bass from the shore in winter. Hence question #1 and I’m sticking to it. I almost caught a smallie one winter but it was from a boat in 25 degree weather. Despite having gloves on, my hands and fingers were so stiffly frozen that I set the hook with the rod on top of my right forearm and pulled back. The only way I could reel in line was with the palm of my hand pushing up against the handle with fingers straight out as if I were going to shake someone’s hand and moving that in a circular motion. To make things worse, I lost that bass. Blazing around the lake at 40 mph and the cold went my windbreaker as if I weren’t wearing it. Human popsicle. 1 Quote

Super User Bankbeater Posted March 10, 2024 Super User Posted March 10, 2024 #1 for me. I know I'm going to catch fish so #2 will work itself out. I'll find out #3 before I leave, and I'm not worried about #4. 2 Quote
Super User Tennessee Boy Posted March 11, 2024 Super User Posted March 11, 2024 I choose #2. If as could ask any question of the fishing gods before a trip it would be what depth are most of the bass. 2 Quote

Super User MN Fisher Posted March 11, 2024 Super User Posted March 11, 2024 I picked #1 - while I'd love to get a big mama in the boat, I'm not out to catch monsters every time...I just wanna catch some 1 hour ago, king fisher said: I choose #5 exact Latitude and longitude of Lake Menderchuck Uhhh - which one...there are several. 1 Quote
ironbjorn Posted March 11, 2024 Posted March 11, 2024 How many bass I'll catch. Size is secondary for me. I fish because I like to catch. Catching plus size is a bonus. I have many other hobbies and I enjoy nature just fine outside of fishing. So, I don't fish for nature nor is it my only hobby, so if I'm to catch little or nothing, let me know so I don't waste my time. I'm not a pro by any means, not even close, but I know how to catch bass just fine. Chalking a bad day up to a "learning day" doesn't work for me. Those years have long past. We're catching in good weather or we're simply doing something else I enjoy. Quote
