SneakySnook Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 Looking at getting a BCR864 GLX senko rod but wanted to know if it would be good for fishing with a frog also? So I wanted to know if anyone has this rod and uses it for fishing with a frog or any other style of fishing? Quote
Guest avid Posted December 17, 2006 Posted December 17, 2006 Should make an excellent frog rod. Good length for long casts and plenty of power to set the hooks. More sensative than you need for the froggies but the lightweight is always a plus. good luck and have fun. Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted December 17, 2006 Super User Posted December 17, 2006 My personal favorite frog stick is an IMX 845. Good power, light, and a 7 footer. I'm looking at picking up that Senko rod as well. Quote

The_Natural Posted December 17, 2006 Posted December 17, 2006 I've got both Senko casting rods...the 864 and 893. The 864 would make a fine frog rod, and both rods work well for all plastics. The 893 is my favorite rod for throwing 1/4oz and under t-rigged plastics, and the 864 works well for everything heavier. Quote
SneakySnook Posted December 17, 2006 Author Posted December 17, 2006 Thanks guys for all the info. Think I might be getting a new rod for the new year. Quote
