Awesome replies, thanks everyone. That gives me a lot to chew on. I have a black, and a black with chartreuse tips. I've tried them both a very limited a mount.

When folks are saying black and chartreuse, I assume we're talking about black on top and chartreuse on bottom?

I have never used that color. When I say black and chartreuse, I mean black and chartreuse full strands. Humdinger makes a rubber skirt with this combination that I am fond of.

I only carry 3 colors.  White, Bluegill & Black/Blue.  Enough variations once you have them in willow or colorado, silver or gold, and 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, 1, 1.5

I really like to burn the heavier ones just under the surface when it's clear and I like to burn the lighter ones just under the surface when it's muddy.  Shallow water.  Near objects or structure. 😎😎😎🤫🤫🤫

Should be mandatory to post a spinnerbait thread every week. They seem to get a lot of attention.

Spinnerbaits are my favorite lure and I will accumulate a lot of catches on them over the course of a year. Quiet,  accurate, slow power is my method.

They seem to get a lot of attention from sizable ditch pickles around here 😉😉😉

Took me a minute.  This is what we call ditch pickles up here.  2022-arctic-cat-lineup2.JPG

I think a lot of anglers here switched to using chatterbaits instead the last few seasons. The fish have begun to resist those now, and spinnerbaits took a back seat. Now that the fish haven’t seen as many spinnerbaits recently, they are more effective again.

I personally use both. The chatterbait can generally be fished deeper and slower.

Most of the fish in the lakes I fish, have never seen a chatterbait, or a spinnerbait.  I keep trying to catch them on the chatterbait, and have had some success, but a  spinnerbait smashes them.  The reason for the lopsided success may be because I have much more experience throwing a spinnerbait, I don't know but I will keep experimenting with both.

I think I have fished with white the most.  Followed by black when the water is murky.

Gotta say I only use white or white with a little color mixed in. Probably to my own detriment.🙄

I appreciate everyone sharing. I watched this video earlier. Jimmy like chartreuse and white, white, firetiger, and blue/yellow/white. Very interesting information he gives.

Over the years wire and chartreuse/white have been the most productive.

But over the past week I have. Hildenbrandt with dark green, gray, and chartreuse that has landed at least one bass every time I have fished.

Usually a Bluegill pattern, or Chartreuse with some other color. Gold or copper blades.

Last year it was this guy:

Chartreuse and anything seems to work best for me.  The fish don't seem to care about color, so long as there's some chartreuse in there.

I prefer darker colors, black and blue or just plain black. I use the larger #6 Hildebrandt Colorado blade. Call 'em thumpers. It's the most productive for the larger fish (8lbs and up).
