Being outside, would you rather it be 10 degrees or 95 degrees

I will answer. I have simply had enough of the cold. Being in TX, I’ve certainly felt extreme heat. Still would rather that than extreme cold.

I've been both quite a bit actually.

And despite where I currently live,

I would rather be hot.

Being out in Extreme cold is Brutal (insert painful),

dangerous and just makes me mad.

And I'm talking anything lower than like 20 below zero.

I couldn't live in a cold climate, not tough enough, and don't have enough meat on my bones.

Honestly though both are brutal, it's hard to stay outside in both conditions imo.

That’s disgusting. I don’t know that I’ve ever felt that

I can't live in a warm climate - I can't even visit warm places...told my MIL that I wouldn't visit between May and October (SE Florida). I suffered heat exhaustion twice during AF Basic Training - San Antonio, TX...mid August to end of September.

Despite not enjoying the cold - I'll take it any day over the heat.

I remember one storm while living in Bemidji - standing air temp was -30, wind chill was -70

Hope you never do -

Add in a stiff north wind and it's no fun.

The term "dressing in layers" takes on a whole new meaning.

Takes us at least 30 minutes to dress & undress 3 or 4 times a day to 'do the dogs'.

That's 2 hours of your day just putting clothes on & off.

Good Times.

Growing up in New England I guess you experience both extremes. Maybe not as hot as Arizona last summer or the Canadian cold of winter. We swing 100* during the year.

But this I do know, as I get older my tolerance for extreme cold is wearing thin.

Well I can’t fish in 10 degrees and I can in 95 so gotta choose 95. I like it about 48-55

I'll take 95* over 10* any day.

During the hot months while fishing I simply take a dive to cool off.

Wife and I can't stand the heat. Even in winter our bedroom has a window cracked open at night.

Given the choice of 10 or 95 in terms of my own personal tolerance, I tolerate 10 degrees much better than 95.  I won't even hardly go outside when it's 95 out here, much less go fishing (which, luckily, is usually only a few times each year).  I sit in my basement with the AC blasting.

10 degrees isn't all that comfortable but if you are outside on the move, its fine.  My dog and I go pheasant hunting in that regularly and we both do much better when its colder than if its 50 out.  I played outdoor ice hockey a lot growing up in 10 degrees too.

I moved North after high school to one hour over the Florida line. 😄

Heat is all I've know for my 49 years.

I definitely prefer colder weather as a 240+ lber.

I get tired of extremes either way. I can add clothes in the cold. When it's super hot, I sometimes can't cool down.  I like spring and fall the best.

I can tolerate both temps, but I’m not a huge fan of either extreme. Luckily we don’t often get too much super crazy hot stuff here, at least for more than a few days at a time, but I’m in the heat loving camp for sure. I’ll take shorts and t-shirts over snow suits any day.

I’ve worked outside almost me entire adult life. I’m not a fan of either of those temps. If I had to pick one I’d probably take 10* that caveat to that is no wind! You factor wind into that and you’re done.

A dry 95* and a steady breeze wouldn’t be terrible. Through in humidity and no wind, heck no!

You can dress for the cold. When it comes to the heat, there’s only so many clothes you can legally take off. 😁

There’s a big difference between 95° and 10°. Assuming 72° is most comfortable, 95° is 23° warmer. 10° is 62° colder. 95° isn’t as extreme as 10°. Comparing similar differences in temps, I’d rather be in 49° temps than 95°, or 10° rather than 134°.

It just don't get much warmer than 110 and not much colder than -20 in the US that I'm aware of. 110 is 25 degrees off 95 and -20 is 30 degrees off 10 degrees. Pretty close.

I grew up in Wisconsin. Lived all over the world the last 40+ years.  I'd move back to the tropics before I move back to Wisconsin.

Heat, I joined the military out of high school to get away from the bitter cold of north dakota, recruiter promised me boot camp in orlando fla. I arrived in orlando in january and as i stood in formation on the parade grounds at 5am in the dark i was freezing, surprised how cold it was in florida.

After boot camp went to training in Gulfport Miss, at the Seabee training center and found out what real humidty was, absolutely hated it. Of all the places i lived in the world i will always remember Ventura Calif as having the nicest year round weather followed by Puerto Rico.

95 is rare here but 88 and steamy is extremely common. Welcome to the jungle

I’d rather be hot. I struggle to stay warm all winter in upstate NY. My toes are always frozen no matter what combination of warm socks and slippers I wear. The cold makes my back tense up and causes spasms. Every winter I seriously consider leaving my life behind and just getting in my truck head south.

Brutal heat is bad too, but I’ll take it over brutal cold.
