I used a regular tatula 7 foot 6 HF last year and it worked well as a flip sticking. Just thinking about upgrading to the Ish Monroe. Anyone used both and can say whether the elite is more sensitive for detecting bites than the regular tatula? I believe main difference is cork handles for tatula and EV foam for tatula elite?

According to a Daiwa rep I talked to, the blanks are the same, so no advantage there.  The guides are lighter and can help out with balance, especially on longer rods.
