BucksBasser Posted March 5, 2024 Posted March 5, 2024 Long time lurker. Finally joined. I'm in Bucks Cty but my family is from central PA so I fish there as well. I usually start the season fly fishing, mainly for trout. Last year targeting trout I hooked and landed my PB smallie of 3 lbs on Tohickan Creek near the mouth at the Delaware. My parents used to live a few miles from Penns Creek. They are now gone but I have a brother near state college so I still get up there a lot. Then once the boat ramps are in I move to bass on various lakes. Mainly Nockamixon in Bucks or Sayers in central PA. I fish the lakes in both kayaks and my 17' fishing boat. Now that I'm retired my goal is 100 days on the water in 2024. My PB LM is an 8 lber I landed in a farm pond in NJ. Unfortunately this is now a development and the pond is gone. PB smallie from Lake Erie at 6 lbs. I'm also a fly tyer and now experimenting on building my own crankbaits. 5 Quote

Fallser Posted March 6, 2024 Posted March 6, 2024 Welcome, I'm also from SE PA. I've fished both Nockamixon and the Tohickon over the years. Like you I start off the season fly fishing for trout, but I don't put the fly rod down when the weather warms up. Mostly I fish the Wissahickon since it's close to me or head up to the Poconos and fish the lakes and ponds there. Quote
TcRoc Posted March 6, 2024 Posted March 6, 2024 Welcome. My main lake is Nock .. fish it in my Bonafide ss127 .. and in my buddies boat which is few and far between.. as he barley gets out and should just sell me his boat lol. 1 Quote
