I haven't seen anyone throwing a drop shot which I find weird in a high pressure situation where fish are sliding back during a front.

I don’t have TV so I’m watching live mix and JT Tompkins is spilling the beans on jerkbait fishing and bass behavior!

Anyone see Takus baits on deck? Looked like a sea urchin and what looked like a skate or something on a weedless wacky hook?

Yeah he has the sea urchin ones yesterday and the guys were joking they were like the old sea mines. One green and one red. The skate thing he had hanging off the side of his deck yesterday with the same presentation. I never saw him use it. I think they said last year he used it as a trailer and right now it looks like he’s using it to represent a dead bluegill

Dead bluegill is good bait for monster bass, although we used real ones 😂

Milliken with a 9-10 in the final hour of fishing to get him into the top 10. Got a feeling we’re about to see some more giants here in the home stretch. Is there any way to know the flights of everyone? I wish they’d publish that info

You can cut the tension with a knife at these weigh ins between the old guard hammers and the young wizards on the scope.    All the guys who don't catch them on the scope are so quick to point that fact out.

Zaldain...."went out there to the middle to play Fortnite with the boys" 🤣

It's exciting to see such a youthful infusion into the sport, but I can't help but feel bad for all those older guys who all but say "we can't compete anymore".

Crazy how a single piece of equipment completely changed the sport.   One of these days I'll stop being shocked by it.

I can't take both scoping and drop shotting

Save that presentation for the northern smallmouth swing in midsummer. :3d-funny-eyes:

Will take several years, but you’ll start seeing a few of them get dropped off the tour every year if they stick to the current plan. It’s early, but several well recognized names sitting in that group of bottom 10 in AOY standings already. Maybe they’ll increase the number of legend exemptions to accommodate some of them so there’s at least a few recognizable names left  😆

Why do I love fishing East Texas?

Lake Fork, Sam Rayburn, Toledo Bend.

This tournament is awesome!

I don't care if its Trey McKinney or Lee Livesay.

@Catt  Agreed, and there are a dozen smaller lakes that pump them out like this as well in E. Texas.

The real winner of this event is TWP, Sharelunker, and incredible management of Texas lakes.

It's mind blowing how many big Bass are in these lakes.   Cpl. monsters caught on TB while this event has been going on as well.

Ole Benny Mills might just drop a 40lb as well, can't believe he hasn't done it yet.   Sounds like he's got rather lucky over the last two days with crucial catches at the very end of the days.

Shame he's not on cam more as he's so polished and knows what the viewers want to hear.    Matty Wong did a great job of this, and a few others get it like Zaldain.

Yeah appears he saved his bacon lol.

Not to mention look at those likes, about 10x more than the ones on BASS's FB feed lol.  He's great for fishing through his faults and accomplishments.

It’s mind blowing how many of them prefer to whine about it and get their butts kicked than try to learn something new. This tourney has shown you can catch big bags both ways but you’re sure as heck not helping yourself by not adding a new tool to the belt.

I bet we see some giant jerk baits and the 12" glides being thrown today.  People are gonna be busting out all the hail Mary big fish tricks.  Should be a mega fun final day.  I predict Trey McKinney wins it and is the next KVD for this era basically 😂

During the Toledo Bend tournament I mentioned Joey Cifuentes was Larry Nixon protégé & the two were staying with Tommy Martin along with a up & coming 18 yrs phenom. I could not remember the "kid's" name.

I went back & rewatched the interview with Tommy Martin.

The "kid" is in fact Trey McKinney!
