Super User gim Posted February 24, 2024 Super User Posted February 24, 2024 My parent's dog Mya, a 16+ year old puggle has failing health and they have made the decision to put her down on March 12 at the vet. I have spent a lot of time with this dog over her lifespan. I dog sit her when they are out of town (and vice versa). She and my own dog are good friends even though Cosmo tormented her when she was a puppy. She was always very tolerant of Cosmo. I still remember the day she became part of the family over 16 years ago. It makes me sad and I am going to miss her but I know I'll see her again someday. May you rest in peace, Mya. 22 Quote

Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted February 24, 2024 Global Moderator Posted February 24, 2024 It’s never easy letting them go and they’ll never tell you they’re ready to go because they’re more concerned about you. 1 Quote

Super User gim Posted March 12, 2024 Author Super User Posted March 12, 2024 Just got word from my Mother that Mya is now in dog heaven. They stopped at McDonald's on the way to the vet and got a cheeseburger happy meal for lunch that she scarfed down. Gonna be a rough couple days for the folks. They have 16.5 years of great memories that are never going away. 4 Quote
