Super User Redlinerobert Posted December 9, 2006 Super User Posted December 9, 2006 So last Monday I sent off two rods to G Loomis that were broken on my trip to Brazil. They received the rods Tuesday, I got a call Wednesday, and by Friday I had two brand spanking new rods back in my possession! One of the rods was brand new Muskie Creature MUR862C which I bought for the trip. The other was an older GLX Flippin Stick that I had bought in 2000, which they didn't make anymore. The call I received Wednesday was to ask which rod I wanted in replacement. I figured that I would have to settle for a cheaper rod since that rod was old and discontinued, but G Loomis gave me FULL CREDIT for what I paid for the rod back in 2000! That rod cost me $480!! Needless to say I asked for the GLX BCFR954, which retails for $450. "No problem" is all I heard on the other end. The customer service rep even threw in a hat for my additional credit Customer service like this will keep me coming back to G Loomis. Quote
TournyFish001 Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 they are amazing- I had a rod replaced when the reel seat came loose. A brand new rod came back- simply amazing no q's asked. Quote
Super User Alpster Posted December 9, 2006 Super User Posted December 9, 2006 I have had two replaced in the last 5 months. One GLX and one IMX. I am a happy G-Loomis customer also. Ronnie Quote
TournyFish001 Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 yeah I am becomming an enthusiast when it comes to bass fishing gear- as of late and I don't see myself changing anytime soon. I thought about giving a megabass destroyer a try but I just can't give up the warranty/service of g-loomis, they have a loyal customer here- one of many. Quote
Guest avid Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 Since I started getting the BCR series from Loomis with the Recoil guides, I haven't had any issues requiring their customer service. I have had two instances in the past year where I had a broken guide on an avid (they ups'd one free got it fixed locally for 3.50) The other was a broken reel seat that I did with truly remarkable stupidity. Specifically I used a rubber coated pair of pliers to get the reel nut extra tight. Well I broke it. Sent it back to St. Croix with the @20.00 bench fee and a note explaining my sudden onset of mental retardation and they promptly sent me a new TBC68MXF. Quote
SneakySnook Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 G-Loomis's customer service is great. I have replaced 2 rods in about 7 months and have had no problems from them. Now I have one more rod to replace. Quote

Super User flechero Posted December 11, 2006 Super User Posted December 11, 2006 I am a happy G-Loomis customer also. I really believe that every G. Loomis customer is a happy customer. (at least every IMX & GLX customer!) With no warranty at all, they would still be worth the price, IMO. Quote
lubina Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 I am a happy G-Loomis customer also. Same here. Last month I lost the ceramic ring of my top guide. I gave them a call asking for the guide, it was overnight delivered and no charge. Quote
