It's a little early here in North central Missouri just yet. Weather has been warm, then, cold, freezing again.            I'll be using plastic worms for much of the time once I start fishing.                                    So far here's my own choices:                                       Zoom Trick and finesse worms. Roboworm, 4.5' ,and 6". Mr. Twister Phenom, 6'.            Brewers Slider worm, Culprit, 7.5, and 10'.                         I always lean to purples, blues, and motor oil. My rigging is Texas rig, Shakey head, and Slider head.                      What plastic worms do you plan on using this season? Do you have any new worms or colors your going to try?

The only ones I use are the elaztech worms and I use them year round.

I'm a 95% worm guy. Usually finesse worms on a split shot rig.

I was gifted some Zman worms and some hand poured worms from two very generous members here, so I'm trying them out right now. I also like the Creme stick baits (they're $1.24 for 5 at my local Wal Mart) and Zoom Trick worms when I want a larger presentation from the 3-4 inch worms I normally like. Almost every worm I fish is a straight tail. I like lizards when I need to throw a curly tail worm with some more action. That's only because I bought a ton of hand poured lizards on a close out sale many years ago.

I had some pretty good luck the other day with the Zoom finesse worm in "natural worm color" (maybe pumpkinseed- don't remember the name) and fished weightless on 6lb line. I was pretty surprised how well they cast without the split shot.

I lean toward black or natural colors, with the exception being bubblegum. I don't throw it often, but it usually works pretty well.

Good luck!

If worms also includes other plastics, then in plan this year I expanded my rage bugs to the 3" version, fish the finesse TRDs that I have more often, and I picked up a couple shaky heads to try out.  I've got some zoom and zman straight worms for that.  No major changes, just some light expansion of what I know works and one or two new things to put more time into.

Going back to my limited supply of the Netbait slim shake and zoom swamp crawler. Other than that anglers choice crosshair, zoom finesse, and some slider worms. Really wish Netbait would not have stopped making the slim shake. It was a tough little worm, and pretty much when I discovered it, it was gone the next year.

I fish only fish three worms, and use all three almost every time I go bass fishing.

1- Zoom Magnum trick worm, Junebug or Green Pumpkin, Texas Rigged, or C Rigged.

2- Zoom Ole Monster, Junebug. C Rigged.

3- 7 inch Senko, Black blue flake, T rigged no weight.

I have so many worms I will probably never use them all up for the rest of my fishing days. So new worms aren't really on my radar.  As for colors, different companies make certain versions of colors I really like:

Berkley Power worm in 4", 7" & 8.5" (Green pumpkin, pumpkinseed, motor oil)

Culprit 7.5 (Red shad)

Zoom  Mag II (Junebug; Pumpkin-Chartreuse)

Zoom Trick worm, Finesse Worm, & Swamp Crawler (Junebug, Green Pumpkin-green, Gourd Green)

Mister Twister Phenom worm (Pumpkin Pepper, Pumpkin Green Pepper, Perch, Grape/blue flake-white tail)

Mister Twister Thunder worm (RIP - discontinued; Pumpkin Green Pepper, Red/black core)

Strike King 3x finesse 7(Pumpkin green flake)

For senkos and other stick worms, I like the OG senko, Berkley General, Bizz Baits Sassy Stick, all in some version of green pumpkin

Jackall, Robo, Zoom and River Rock custom are the main ones I throw and most often it's wacky, Shakyhead and drop shot.

Favorite colors:

Watermelon pepper

Green pumpkin candy

Purple

Black/blue.

During the warmer months probably spend 90% of the day throwing worms.

T-Mac or Trick worms.

6" Roboworms

Yamamoto Senko 5"

Zoom UV Speed worms, Almost forgot.

Since last season I only carry them in Junebug or Green Pumpkin, Roboworms I do have a couple extra funny colors for dropshots.. I been working on reducing all the extras out of the boat and in the kayak I'm going with the minimum.

I'm surprised that @TnRiver46 hasn't commented here yet.

Any color will work, as long as its purple.

Most of my worm fishing will be in brush , so I'll need weight to pitch it in pockets. I like the bulk of the Yum Dinger paired with a 5/16th oz tungsten weight.

I am a big believer in showing the bass something different. I started throwing the "needle" worms late last year with great success. I started with the JDM vesions and the 10 inchers got hammered. I will be fishing them a lot more this year.

I'll be using a Zoom finesse worm, trick worm, or a Creme 6" Scoundrel.  I'll be fishing them weightless or on a split shot rig.

If I could only have one color of worm to fish in my local waters, it's 100% going to be some colorway of Purple. Most likely Junebug. Pops like Grape w/ Black & Red flake.

Just ordered the same. I’d been eyeballing the Ichi and your comment convinced me to buy. I love that color too.

Usually a Zoom trickworm in Junebug or Candybug.  If they don't like that I go with a dead ringer or finesse.  If active and I see them moving, I use a U vibe.  I bouGHt some Roboworms and Anacondas and Ole Monsters, OH MY.

It's funny how many folks like purple. I have caught exactly one fish with a Culprit purple/white curly tail worm and it wasn't in my local spots. It was in super clear water up in a mountain lake when I was on vacation. I've tried it numerous times since in my muddy water ponds down south and never a bite. My best color down here is straight black- I've tried a black blue and a black with blue flake worm with nary a bite. Funny how fish are so picky depending on location.

I've always assumed that since black works well in my stained water, purple and other variations of black would be similar. Not with my finicky bass.
