Guest DavidGreen Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 Welcome to the forum.... skeeter944, They may very well be the find you are looking for in your budget range. But as with any other re-branded, signature, or house brand reel, (ie BPS, Cabela's, etc) if you have any kind of issues with the reel's you have to deal with the store they are branded for. TournyFish001 Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 who makes the reels and rods for Bass Pro? Quote
Guest DavidGreen Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 jetsprint2, who makes the reels and rods for Bass Pro?A lot of people have different opinions as to who the manufacturers are for BPS. The fact is that no one knows for sure, and they BPS isn't going to say. Probably any manufacturer that gives them the best deal on re-branded equipment.Tight Lines!!! Quote
clipper Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 I have a couple of the SE models and they cast well and have given me good service. But, I only fish about 20 times a year if I'm lucky. I have read posts from guys who fish several times a week and used these reels, and they said they didn't hold up very long for them. My son broke the bail on a Bass Pro spinning reel I bought him for Christmas last year and they sent me a new bail at no charge, so that speaks well for their service. Just my 2 cents worth. I do think you will love the way they cast. Quote
skeeter944 Posted December 11, 2006 Author Posted December 11, 2006 i fish 3-5 times a week and tournament fish on saturdays,so i need something cheap and that will hold up for a while. i had been looking at the abu garcia c4's and 5's,but i like low profile reels, does anybody know of any good, longlasting reels? thanks!
