throttleplate Posted February 7, 2024 Posted February 7, 2024 Notified by letter my AAA car ins policy will end on expiry date and will not be renewed due to AAA pulling its car ins out of ND. So i thought i would never find ins that cheap again $182.00 for 6 months for full coverage on my 2004 honda civic 500.00 deductable. It turned out i walked into a local insurance company just to inquire and i walked out with new car ins through progressive at a reduction and now pay $120.00 for full coverage, at $500.00 deductable, all parameters are the same as the aaa but now i have car rental added which i didnt before. I did not get the roadside assistance as i belong to the Premiere AAA club. 1 1 Quote

Super User Log Catcher Posted February 8, 2024 Super User Posted February 8, 2024 Several years ago we got a letter saying our insurance company was cancelling us when it out ran out. No explanation as to why and we had been with them for years. My dad also had them for years. Finally found out our local agent was retiring and that was the reason. That turned out to be the best thing they could have done for us. We started shopping around and got insurance on our home and vehicles a lot cheaper than what we were paying. 1 Quote

According to the agent minnesota ranked 2nd behind california in insurance claim losses beating out florida. Quote
Super User gim Posted February 8, 2024 Super User Posted February 8, 2024 @throttleplate that big hail storm came through a significant portion of the Twin Cities. I only got pea sized hail but not far away, there was much bigger hail. Up to baseball size. I’d be surprised if Florida wasn’t more. Although last year there wasn’t a major hurricane there if I remember correctly so that could be why. Quote
