osummerer23 Posted February 12, 2024 Posted February 12, 2024 Great lure to give a newer fisherman. 1/4oz black, far cast, let it hit bottom and then a slow steady retrieve. Small mouth love it. I'd guess closest thing is a leech. I also drift these in 1/8oz for river smallies and have caught a lot of trout on accident too. 2 Quote
Mr. Aquarium Posted February 12, 2024 Posted February 12, 2024 Only thing I could get bit on yesterday! Lakes were frozen on Saturday! Water was COLD!! 3 Quote
MAN Posted February 13, 2024 Posted February 13, 2024 I always keep them on hand. Use them in the same situation as I do a roadrunner. When I can't get the bass to bite anything else....I go small. (saltwater also) Quote
Super User ATA Posted February 14, 2024 Super User Posted February 14, 2024 I use flies if water is clear and I cant get bite when I am at the boat or drops hotting from the shore. sometimes float marabou but I never catch any on them yet(I didnt try so many times). 1 Quote
