Super User casts_by_fly Posted February 1, 2024 Super User Posted February 1, 2024 Fishing only where I'm fising now? largemouth- buzzbait- my absolute favorite bait to fish vibrating jig- it just catches fish here year round swim jig- necessary for the amount of grass we get and can also be throw like any other jig texas rig (with all the plastics, yes that's kinda cheating) lipless crankbait- necessary for early season for sure and versatile enough to be my only 'crankbait' in the lot. 2 Quote

Super User king fisher Posted February 1, 2024 Super User Posted February 1, 2024 1. Spinnerbait including inline spinner 2. crankbait including lipless 3. plastic worm including creature baits 4. top water 5.swimmbait If I have to be more specific, than I give up, can't be done with 5. Maybe 50, but even then I would have to make some tough choices. 1 Quote

Motoboss Posted February 24, 2024 Posted February 24, 2024 This “5 rig” philosophy is exactly how I set up my kit. It covers the 5 rod set ups and the baits I use them for. 1. Spinner blade (blade baits) 1. Frog (top water/walk’n/pop’n) 1. Crankbait (diving shallow/deep/lipless) 1. Jig (drag/hop baits) and #1, alltime greatest 1. Worm (straight/float’n/senko) 1 Quote

Super User T-Billy Posted February 25, 2024 Super User Posted February 25, 2024 1. T-rig 2. Jig 3. Chatterbait 4. Paddletail 5. Lipless I'll run with these for both green and brown bass, ice out, till ice over. I wouldn't even feel all that restricted. I spend more time with a flippin stick or a chatterbait rod in my hand than everything else combined anymore. Actually, I spend more time chasing muskie than bass these days, but when bass fishing the above list will git'r done under most any situation. 2 Quote
