If you could only fish 5 lures for the rest of your life what would they be?

bonus points if you do a list for largemouth and one for smallmouth

  Brown Bass             Green Bass

Vibrating Jig             Rattlebait

Walking Bait             Spinnerbait

Spinnerbait              Jig

Largemouth - topwater (buzzbait), spinnerbait, wacky rig, chatterbait, Texas rig plastic.

Smallmouth - jerk bait, crankbait, tube, Ned rig, hair jig.

Honestly these lures listed probably already represent about 75% of the lures I am using regularly. Haha

Unfortunately a "financial advisor" I know won’t ever limit me to 5 or 10 baits for the rest of my life.

You were supposed to list fishing lures. Not your dinner skunky. :dribble:

1. Texas Rig Creature Bait - Versatile and I can use a different weight depending on where I want to fish in the water column. Likely 3.6 Keitech crazy flapper.

2. Senko

3. Bladed Jig

4. 4 inch swimbait

5. Topwater, probably a popper that can be walked (Popmax or Ima Finesse Popper)

I'm fairly certain one of those will always catch a bass on any lake I fish.

I only fish lakes with a decent Smallmouth population once or twice a year so I don't have a list for them.  I usually managed to run into a few using the same lures I target Largemouth with.

So, 5, in no particular order.

Devils Horse

Shaky Head

Wacky

Bladed Jig

Flatside Crankbait

I realize shaky head and wacky are kinda broad descriptions as I might put any number of things on them.  The Bait Monkey said that was OK.   It's hard to leave a Texas Rig off, but in the past year or so I believe I can catch most of the T-rig Bass on a Shaky head, but some of the shaky head Bass won't look at a T-rig.

No Smallmouth down here. Never caught one anywhere, actually.

I rarely change lures and really don't fish hard baits so mine are simple as can be.

1. Beetle Spin

2. Stickbait (weightless)

3. Finesse worm (split shot rig or wacky depending on my mood)

4. Lizard (split shot)

5. Trick worm (same as 3)
