Has anyone had experience with the FX custom rods? Specifically their extreme line of casting rods. I would love opinions as it seems they are a lesser known company and t”it are difficult to find reviews.

I have a couple of the Xtreme series, the only thing I don't love about them is the hook keeper placement & the guide diameters are on the smaller side. The rods are light and balance nicely.

They only have a a couple specific models that are available with cork grips if that matters to you, other than that they have many more models with the winn grip style.

I'm good friends with one of their main pro staff guys.  I've played with them and they're pretty nice.  Pretty crisp.  I might be going to the New England fishing expo this weekend and can manhandle them for you.

You’ll have to bring back a report! :)

I had one for awhile, I believe it was a 7'1 MH. I thought it was a good rod. The action kinda reminded me of a Cashion.

I didn't keep it but that doesn't mean it was a bad rod it just means I move too many rods. They are pretty popular around here and further south.

I've got a 6'8" Extreme Angler MH that I'm thinking about selling. It was on a clearance rack at a local tackle shop for 120.00. I think it retails around 180.00. Ended up never using it. I also have the 6'3" model that I do use occasionally. Both rods are remarkably light. Was told that they compare to rods costing half again as much.

I picked up a MB71MHF and MBSH74MF (both corkers) today at the New Hampshire Fishing Expo.  They seem very high quality.    I spoke to their reps for a while.  I'll report back when I get a chance to fish them.

My day-to-day rods are Kistler Heliums & KLXs, I have high expectations.
